Right so I have reduced the fx to 10 it's way better but kerbs still rattle the rig but not as much i might reduce kerbs_surface_scale to 4 do you think that would make it better.

Yes, just test it. Maybe 4 or maybe even fewer depending on your personal taste

Yes, it seems that you are doing something wrong. I will send you a PM today, maybe we can find the error together;)

Apologies if it may be somewhere in this thread. I enjoy the Default+ but need to make a custom version as my particular wheel is subject to clipping from road bumps. Is there a custom FFB file that lists all the variables but is set for Default+ values? There are a couple of particular values I need to dial down but would like to keep the Default+ feel. The default Custom FFB file (the one that comes with the game) doesn’t include those variables.

I find Pereira's FullFFB file to be closest to Default+ in feeling from all the files I have tried (which is quite many), I would recommend trying it and adjusting that to your liking. I can switch between Default+ and that file very easily without long adjustment time needed.

By the way, @Bernd18995, the information about the lack of auto-rotation support comes from MOZA itself. So, please explain what your disagreement is about.

I dont really agree on the sentiment of having to explain myself for disagreeing but alas.
Me and my brother are using moza gear since like two years by now and either it's a non issue or we are just not sensitive to it.

I didn't know that about Moza. I'm pretty sure i would not like that. Using VR so i am always in driver view and need to have the steering wheel animation match my physical wheel turning is a must have. Sure, you can still do it manually but that will be a pain versus a set and forget auto calibration

I really like many aspects of the MOZA hardware, but they confirmed this with me directly. I told them I would not consider buying their product until they "corrected" this important oversight. It must be physically possible to do it, they have just chosen not to.

The other major problem was with all the unwanted oscillation issues, but I believe that has been resolved with recent firmware updates.

Erm, Marc I don't fully know where are you getting this info but as a Moza user I can confirm Moza has autoadjustment on basically every modern racing sim, with the exception of the original AMS. In sims like Raceroom and Rennsport it basically takes over the Moza software and adjusts the steering ratio in there, but in sims like ams2, rf2, acc and iracing if you set the wheel up to 900 degrees it automatically adjusts it to whatever the car has..

OK, I guess their own customer support people don't know how their wheels work. This is what MOZA sent me via their official:

Currently, only Le Mans Ultimate (LMU) supports automatic steering rotation adjustment with MOZA wheelbases. This is achieved through a two-way integration, where the game accesses our steering angle API to dynamically adjust the rotation based on the in-game vehicle.

For other titles like iRacing, AMS 2, and rFactor 2, you may need to manually adjust the steering angle in MOZA Pit House or within the game settings. We are always working on improving compatibility and appreciate your feedback.
Perhaps you or @Stepy could reach out and educate them about their own products. The easiest way to clarify this would be to have a rotation setting in the drivers/Pit House called "Automatic" or some such, as is the case with other manufacturers.

I don't know who works at costumer support but thats a weird response, I've always set the steering wheel rotation to 900deg and let the software do the rest, and I've owned Moza since 2022..

Yep leave it at 900° and away you go no need to change anything for any game.

There is an actual setting like this in pithouse, it's called synchronous
MOZA Pit House Force Feedback Guide - A Complete FFB Settings Guide - MOZA Racing | Global
its with the wheel rotation settings.

At least it explains why i was so confused with your initial statement :)

I disagree. "Inertia" should be used to simulate a heavier steering wheel if you use a very light wheel. But not for all wheels because that also has disadvantages. The wheel will become very sluggish and will no longer react quickly. Moza now recommends simply increasing the "Inertia" value extremely for all wheels, but in my opinion that is the wrong way to go. In my opinion the vibrations are due to technical reasons. An R21 (I drive one myself) will not cause any problems with vibrations. But an R5 or R9 will cause extreme vibrations. I had the opportunity to test an R9 R12 and an R21. The steering axis of an R5 R9 or even an R12 runs unevenly and not smoothly and noticeable notches and resistance arise. Incidentally, this can also be felt on other bases; my old Fanatec Podium dd1 also had this problem. In my opinion, this is what causes the vibrations. It may sound a bit harsh but for me there are only R21 and R16 (with some restrictions the R12) that I would buy from Moza. I would not recommend anything below that.
