Automobilista 2 March 2025 Development Update

One of my favourate things in AMS1 was to send more, lets say stupid cars, over the SST tracks. Now, its not mentioned here i think, but is it the same here? Because if so the first thing i will be doing is sending a F1 over the jumps.

 

LMH can be in GTP too... Reiza has been clever in naming their categories

EDIT: had a brain fart, i know very well the category is LMDh in the sim... but perhaps it will change, given Renato's hint

 

I can't help but think of driver swaps.

If it is the Aston in GTP I would loose my mind, but I would be very happy with the Acura too, one of my favorites.

 

I forgot about the Aston because it didn't race at Daytona. But you're right. And how f**king cool would that be??? Not to mention, we'd probably get the GT cars too.

 

Those SST's are a laugh, full throttle and YEET!

Online races with these will be some top fun.

 

When is the update coming out? Do I need to remove skin and driver mods before the update?

Also, will the AI skill/ mistake slider be included in a championship already started?

 

That was one of the best things about AMS1

 

I think it does. For what it's worth, I'm running an i7 6700K and an RTX 3060 Ti, and even on my old CPU I am fairly sure I've seen more stable performance in situations where I used to get more severe frame drops (mostly certain camera angles in replays). The difference doesn't seem to be huge though, and I'm not sure how much a fourth-generation Intel Core CPU will benefit from the improvement (especially since your GPU could also be a bottleneck depending on your resolution and other specs).

As for the content: BRING ON THE SUPER TRUCKS! I'm the first to admit I was never a huge fan of them in AMS1, but I can hardly pry myself from their steering wheel in the Beta. And I may or may not emit sounds of joy like "WHEEEE" on a regular basis while yeeting over ramps at 120 kilometers an hour...

 

Acura ARX-06 would be perfect. Not too sure what Acura thinks about licensing though. The Aston is probably more likely, but I certainly won't be complaining about that either!

 

Oh, I thought there weren't going to be dev updates as per the previous one? Or has that been walked back and I just missed that? I found out about this from the Steam page so I've been out of the loop a bit, thinking there wouldn't be dev updates.

Either way, great to see STT! Can't wait to fling those in VR and flip over at least twice in one lap. Intrigued on who the other manufacturer would be for the Endurance racing, I thought we already had everyone since it's IMSA, unless WEC is willing to join up too?

 

Acura, Ford, Lexus, Aston Martin, Ferrari. Little bit more running in IMSA.

Do it now, because once the damage modelling is done for all series, none of the tarmac-based cars should be able to survive a single jump. Unless your goal is just to see how far you can go without worrying about the post-landing consequences

 

Maybe this means something

 

LMH is just the set of regulations the car is built on, GTP is how IMSA calls their endurance top class, Hypercar would be the equivalent in WEC.

 

And the Valkyrie is not electric so it could be easier
