The performance on VR is going to be better too, am i right ?...if the game really use 4 threads instead of 2(I hope so, because before 1.6, my game runs fine, now in 1.6, i need to turn on ASW for smoot gaming)

Agree, Ford is very high on my wishlist too, but probably doesn't fit the criteria for this one.

On the stadium trucks, nothing wrong with the implementation but it's just not of interest to me. Same as Madden games might be good but I'm not interested in gridiron, so just not my thing.

I read that as confirmation that it isn't Acura TBH

Not really into the Super Trucks TBH but I'll give them a shot. Still hyped for this update though, can't say no to better performance, improved AI, and refined physics!
Seems like the update after this one is all about modern endurance cars, which is cool, but I really hope the historic Le Mans pack is still on the menu.

The whole game (physics, UI, graphics, audio, network…++) uses plenty of threads in total. What Reiza is mentioning as new in the coming update is that "the physics engine now runs on four CPU threads".

I suppose no two computers are the same so treat it as anecdotal information, but without going into too much details it's improved for me.

I read it more as GTP GT3 and GT4 from one brand, not sure which one has all three of them currently in IMSA

If we include the Michelin Pilot Challenge, there's one British manufacturer that has two rumbly V8 bois in GT3 and GT4, and one rather screamy rocket-looking thing in GTP this season

No need to worry--they use American old pickup truck-style automatic transmissions (3-speed). But you can override that and manual shift if you really want to do that.

Single player features for Championship Mode is fantastic as that is the way I use AMS2. I just wish there were more custom slots so I didn't have to keep deleting when I want to add a new one.

    Delete?

Just copy the contents of single champs in my documents/ams2 to another folder. Swap in and out as you choose, no need to restart the game, just re-enter "championships" from main menu when done copy/pasting files. Voila, more championship slots! ;)

At least in my Ryzen 7 5800X this update is the most impressive in VR.

I always have great FPS with AMS2 in VR, but now is a total new experience, from FFB to a fluid motion and response that I ever experience in any racing sim title in VR.

If this work in any rig, it's the leap with one update that looks to me the one with more gains in performance in all aspects of gameplay in VR.

On the contrary, after upgrading to 1.6, the performance actually got better for me. I guess a lot depends on your system settings and mods.

One of the optimization measures is that the physics engine now runs on four CPU threads by default instead of the previous default of two; this however might not be a net positive for users running substantially older systems, in which case they can revert to the old standard by running the command line -pthreads 2
Guys, I need help to better understand this. I have an older i5 7500 CPU. Which of the two options should I use, and how can I make the change? Forgive me for asking, but I understand very little about computers in general.

My test was changing from 2 to 4 and bump cars and let my crap g29 self align.

With 4 the FFB can do much better the job, without little input. 2, with same game settings, I look like a monkey trying to regain control.

And, in VR, with 4 threads in heavy scenarios, the ASW kick in is more fluid, because I can get rid of almost any microstutters.

    Intel® Core™ i5-7500 Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.80 GHz) - Product Specifications | Intel

If it is this one then you only have 4 threads to play with so it might be better to use the command line mentioned above. To do that you have to configure it from within Steam itself. I don´t remember the exact method but it is something like in the below tutorial.
