How would adding yet another redundant IMSA car that the game is already filled with suddenly skyrocket AMS2 sales ?
There are many other car classes that need filling up with cars a lot more like Group A, Group C, GT Classic and both Vintage Touring, or also new car classes like Opala Stock Cars of 1992 to fill the gap between the 86 and 99 cars.

For better or worse, historic content tends not to be as popular as the shiny new thing (See iRacing participation numbers of historic series for example)

 

Agree! And I would add the Vectra era too, it was really cool!

 

I don't think sales would skyrocket, but it would be nice to have the full field of cars.

 

What I personally would like to see in AMS2 is an expansion of Group C (adding Jaguar, Aston Martin, and a Le Mans Historic course), JGTC (I know there is a mod, but I want to see what Reiza has done), and also a Japanese circuit. As I am Japanese, I would like to drive Japanese race cars but there are not too many of them. adding Super GT,Super Formula,Super Endurance(Super Taikyu) would be nice too.

 

Yeah, I was really disappointed to hear the 1980's version of lemans isn't getting a matching car pack, because there is SO MANY cars from 1986-1990 that would just be amazing to have. Mazda 767B (or the 787B), Toyota 88C, Aston AMR-1, Jaguar XJR-9, Lancia LC2, the entire C2/GTP lite class.

Because the Valkrie GTP is the single most important car of the modern GTP regulations, because it represents the car fan's (and car industry's) refusal to go quietly into that dark night of boring EV's and conforming to stupid, worthless, regulations.

Well, as you alluded to: there's some hope we're not going to go gently into that good night all that quickly just yet, but probably a matter of time.

Still, if all goes wrong... we will hold on to that V12 tightly while slowly sinking into the quicksand of (ill) perceived progress and sustainability

I have some issues driving any of the GTPs, but would not mind the Valkyrie joining the club, so I can make a real mess of that too.

 

Renato promised new content every month now that they finished to develop their last things.
He also said that they've obtained many licenses.
I haven't seen anything yet though.
I wonder when we will see the new content since this month is almost gone already....

It's got to be Aston Martin. The hint is in the OP, it's the only manufacturer left with a GTP, GT3 & GT4 car (Acura has no GT4 car)

 

But there is not any mention that all the cars are from the same manufacturer.

Honestly I agree. I think with how hot sportscars are right now. A more complete grid for the current IMSA/WEC line up could only help. Especially with how popular the Valkyrie is with fans and Genesis' LMDh unveiling.

I recently had a friend decide to pick up LMU instead of AMS2 because of a more complete sportscar grid in LMU than AMS2

 

I mean, you expect a game called Le Mans Ultimate to have a more complete sports car grid. If AMS2 had more than it would be funny IMO.

 

It's just my opinion, but getting closer would only help even if it will never mirror LMU's car list (which is WEC only anyway).

Would love the Acura, Valkyrie, and Genesis as these are IMSA GTPs

Acura and Lexus are missing but given that the Toyota GR GT3 is being tested getting that might have better longevity.

 

I'd rather have a new class than 6th model added to existing, already fairly well represented classes for the sake of "completion".
Some classes with small numbers (GTE, DPi etc) would have the count doubled or increased by 33% instead of a mere 15% increase
The impact of extra car is just greater there.

I'll be happy no matter where new content appears though.

 

When it comes to which new premium maker coming to AMS2 with the modern GT and Prototype classes being on focus, I will bet almost my savings it has to be Aston Martin. Can imagine how the amazing V8 out of a Vantage will sound like
