    Hi!
I don't know if it is for that, but we're racing a league with races of about 45-50 minutes long and we hadn't major issues

    Cheers, Marcos

I still have some issues, but I'm not certain if it's the game or AMD drivers being stupid as it happens in all madness engine games

I upgraded my RAM from 16gb to 32gb and I've had significantly fewer stutters. It hasn't removed them, I still occasionally get the weird FPS drop in the pre-race leaderboard, but it seems less likely to have game breaking stutters mid-session.

Thanks for the responds. I'm considering getting 32gb ram instead of 16gb and with faster speed, to boost the cpu effectiveness. So this info helps a lot.

The pre race screen nearly fries my gpu every time! It's always done it but as soon as I start the race the gpu load drops back to normal and runs fine after that.

The way game development is now, 32GB Is pretty much the standard needed

Ok thanks. I'm looking into buying 2x16 3600 mhz corsair or similar.

The wiggle, "band of birds" behavior (when a group of cars does exactly the same thing, at the same time) but also the impossible physics...

The car in front of me hits the wall (AI problem at Sebring's T1) but then it's impact on the other car should send it into a spin (the car stays put).

The car hits the wall but then regains instant control on the racing line (like a magnet does when close enough)

That's why AI framework must be revised (take different approach). Taken rF2 as a reference, I could mix DLC cars and tracks with modded cars and tracks as I wish, the experience stayed the same.
I may be wrong, but I felt some Reiza's pain about v1.6... it must have been a huge job to get AI corrected for all tracks... (and the result will always be far from perfect as seen in many examples).
Reiza doesn't even want to think about another major physics upgrade as long as they remember that pain ...

I have 64Gb RAM, 8Gb VRAM (but many AMS2 tracks only fill 4-6Gb with my settings, anyway).
I was on W10 until last week and upgraded to W11 (not a fresh install tho).
I started to see those microstutters. I cap to 72fps and I can see my monitors going to +100Hz from time to time - that's what creates that microstutters feeling.
    My GPU stays at 800-1000Mhz (max. 2040Mhz), ~100W (max >320W), <50% occupation. That's not the bottleneck/problem.

"Pretty much every month" doesn't mean "literally every single month", just sayin' ;)

Interesting, can you explain how rF2's AI framework is different to AMS?

It isn't fundamentally different. rF2 has many AI issues, as does every sim (just different ones). They are all evolutions of the original AI in rF.

I can load a modded track with a modded car series in AMS 2 and have good racing out of the box. Of course, many tracks do not work optimally (and are missing features) and some mod cars are not very well optimized for AI racing (designed for online use, so who cares about refining the AI?), either. Same as rF2.

No its 9-10 month out of 12…..

I also never said anything about every single month

But now that we are 5 month in, just how much have we gotten so far?

That announcement was made at the end of January and we're not even in the middle of May now so it's less than 3.5 months from it, not 5.

So we're roughly still in your ballpark 9-10 months estimate ;)

Having said that, we've been here long enough and hopefully learned that Reiza's announcements should be read with a (rather large) grain of salt :)

In any case, i'm watching some IMSA and getting excited about whatever is coming. I like endurance racing and that's a new focus again... and the WEC race yesterday was also fantastic (Alpine doing well!)
