    Heavy AI performance discrepancy. I'm assuming weather-related.

    Track: VIR North layout
    Class: VW TSI Cup
    Game version: 1.6.4.3.2867

    The weather was real weather with 5x progression in P&Q and 2x progression in race. Race date 1/1/2021. The actual weather in the sessions:
    P - Dry.
    Q - Overcast with a "Wet" track. Temperatures about 12/16 C. (Ambient/Track.)
    R - Raining with a wet track. Temperatures about 4/5 C.

    103 AI skill. 1.00x wet weather scalar. Medium aggression, 3x mistakes.

    This put me at P9 in the 5-minute dry practice session. In the 10-minute quali I was P1, 15 seconds ahead of the next car. In the 20-minute race I gained 10 seconds per lap on the top AI cars.

    This was first noticed with a custom AI grid and then verified with default AI drivers. I stopped the race with default AI after a couple laps having verified their pace.

    Tested now a 20 laps race at Interlagos against AI with light rain to heavy rain, sync with race, Formula Ultimate Gen2. Starting with soft slicks I can race with track all wet, after all AI go for inters.

    When I change for inters or wet, my car slides like racing over greese. Never happens before.

    I don't know If I report this as a bug or try a reinstall.

    Sorry for the reply to my post, click wrong. But will record a video with HUD inputs, because I don't thing its an AI question, AI race nice, it's player car physics that behave strange.

    [EDIT] Reinstall solved the issue. Thanks God.

    GT1 on Watkins Glen Inner Loop

    Seems like the Ai avoids the curbs in the chicane, making them extremely slow at this part, compared to a human player. They break very early and drive very slow through the chicane.

    Ai was set to 104, aggression: middle

    For some reason, my AI co-driver always comes in to pit when there is about 50% fuel left. This occurs at several tracks and with several cars. I didn't test them all, but for example, if I do a 3 hour race in a GT3, come in to the pits to refuel, give control to my AI co-driver, he goes out and runs until about 50% of the fuel is gone. I don't know how to make him run longer. This messes up my race of course.
    This was not like this in the initial build. A few years ago, I remember my AI co-driver running almost to empty fuel.
    The only time he would come in early was if he received a large amount of damage.
    Is there some setting I can change to make him wait to pit?
    Or maybe it should be changed so that he runs indefinitely until I come over and force a pit stop. That would be more ideal.
    Just wondering if any of you have experience with sharing your ride with the AI and how it has worked out for you.

    Sebring T1 with LMDh, if AI cars go side by side the one on the outside will spin the one on the inside, often times causing a massive pile up. Happens multiple time in a race

    In qualifying, cars on their flying lap still can barely overtake cars which are on their outlap.
    Even on the long highspeed section between start/finish and Tosa in Imola 88.
    They all stick to the same line, with the slow cars blocking the fast ones. The fast cars do not go for the gap, but just for the rear of car in front.

    Between T4 and T5 AI tends to crash into the wall, even when not pressed to.

    I‘ve done a lot of Lmdh & LMP2 multiclass racing lately (loving the LMP2 cars) and on some tracks I‘m faster in an LMP2 car than the last 2 or 3 Lmdh cars and I overtake them. Now to the problem: Is it possible that the cars of the faster car class always „think“ that I will get blue flags, even if we are racing for position?
    They are absolutly wreckless if I not go out of the way, they will take me out of the race. Happens for example at Termas de Rio Hondo, with the Ai set to 95 and aggression set to high.

    I have been doing some racing on the historic Nordschleife with the Sudschleife. Here I notice a some incosistancies with the AIs. Between Hatzenbach and Schwedenkreuz I tend to get outpaced by the AIs no matter what I do which doesnt happen on the modern Nordschleife even with more difficult AI settings. Sector 2 they are fine but the last sector there are a few ups and downs and even being more on rails through Caracciola Karussell. This was done with skill level 100 where as at the Nordschleife only I go for more difficult AIs.

    This track has some very annoying AI behaviors. Hockeheim Historic 1988.
    Every first lap, the AIs are so slow and they crawl throughout the first lap until turn 11.
    But the very worst problem comes after the first lap on the Ost-kurve: On the approach to the chicane(T5 & 6), the AIs will just do a very alien-like behavior, make a very late lunge and fly through the corner way faster than the player. No matter what I try, I can't match their behavior and you will likely lose 0,2-0,8 seconds because of this.

    is there any way to get rid off clumping AI in 3-5 cars and driving like glued for the whole race?? I created race with custom AI drivers and finished 5th while first four drivers were like glued to each other and driving in such way during the whole race and finished less than 0,5 sec between 1st and 4th.. although I set different <race_skill> values for AI drivers but it didn't help.

    This can't be fixed. This bug affects all GT3 cars.

    definition of the AI error parameter, value to choose between X 0.5 and 5! what is it? what are the consequences for this setting. Thank you

    Multiplier of the amount of mistakes the AI does. Higher means more, lower than 1 means less.

    Hello, I understand the possibility of modifying the value between 0.5 and 5, but what are the possible errors envisaged? The piloting? The strategy in the race? What exactly? Acting on this parameter without knowing what it is for..... Thank you for informing me

    Missing their braking point, going wide on the corner, spinning and going off the track, inforced error category is what I've noticed happening more with this setting increased.
    They're making strategy errors all the time so it definitely doesn't apply there ;)
