Not only at Silverstone National Circuit, but also on tracks like Oulton Park and Sebring, the entire GT3 Gen1*2 and retro formula class frequently experiences incidents. AI-controlled cars often can't even last a lap or two before flooding into the pits for repairs. In replays, they are often seen spinning out before corners due to lacking grip.

When you choose a GT4 race car, these incidents vanish entirely. The AI-driven cars become remarkably stable. so gt3 gen12 and retro formula must be fix This definitely needs to be fixed; otherwise competitive racing is impossible.

Man, I hope these GT1 changes wont affect the balance of the class too much... The class were very good balanced despite the historical inaccuracy...

As far as I remember... the only disadvantage of Mercedes in the 1998 GT1 was fuel consumption.So... if Reiza can balance the pace of these cars in long stints... it seems to me a good win-win path between realism and class competitiveness in the AMS2.

I can understand why it shouldnt be making too much of a performance cost, but I'm really noticing a fps hit with this setting. I'm not sure sure which other settings the fade affects, but have Track detail set to High and just now (on v1.6.5.2) without changing any other graphic setting other than LOD fade, when switched off I'm at my max fps setting of 118. Switched on however it starts constantly fluctuating somewhere between 100 - 110, into 90's at its lowest which I'd say is quite a noticeable drop. CPU usage remains about 30% so doesnt seem to be CPU that's affected.. ..this was on Watkins Glen, default date which was Autumn foliage.

Luckily can't say I had ever had an issue with textures poping in in the first place so am happy leaving the setting off, just thought I'd mention as certainly on my set up it doesnt seem to be working so smoothly

Speaking of an AI issue that has bothered me still, I hope you at Reiza will look into the Red Bull Ring corner 9 annoyance that has been issued. If you could fix Sebring then I sure believe you will fix the RBR!

"That's great news for the Nordschleife! I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but will there ever be a proper flashlight function, instead of the current system where you have to constantly hammer the on/off button? Also, will the replay feature be changed so you can view more than just the last two minutes, for example, something that happened 10 minutes ago?

You can use crewchief to setup a flashing button, several videos can be found on YT, it basically cycles the headlights a couple times with one buttonpress

Interesting, my system is as follows,

Ryzen 7700x ,4070TI 12GB, 32GB DDR5 , game stored on SD. I noticed today after purchasing the IMSA track pack the following , Road Atlanta starting at the back of a 24 card grid.
Lap one locked at 90 frames per second with an average low of 82 FPS .
Lap 2 and 3 largely consistent with the first however on lap 4 I started to notice some stutter creeping in and the on-screen system monitor was now starting to register Lows in the region of 75 FPS.

Lap 5 the stutter became even more pronounced even though I'd moved up in the field and therefore less cars to draw , thereafter the lows were dropping to 61 frames per second which was clearly visible at this point. So I stuck it out kept racing and two laps later this cleared by itself and the on-screen monitors were now registering back in the lows of 80 to 82 frames per second.

Furthermore my CPU usage did not exceed 27% and the GPU no more than an average of 48 to 51%.

Now before anyone mentions bottlenecks the reason these are so low in usage is because the system (running triple screens at 1080p) is in no way stressed and has plenty of Headroom so much so that the CPU temperature did not exceed 55C and the GPU did not exceed much beyond 51C , keep in mind that on this card the internal fan doesn't kick in until the GFX card reaches a minimum of 60C so none of these components were pushed.

The ambient temperature of the room also today was no greater than 20C

It seems that something is happening (in my case) in the early parts of the race which is causing the frame rates to drop considerably and then it recovers seemingly all on its own, not sure whether the new build or patch has affected something else in the background ,note this is with the lod fade disabled.

Anyone else had similar experiences? Whatever is going on is not seemingly related to temperature throttling or system inadequacies, as a control test I ran the same race three times after returning back to the main screen and each time it displayed the same issues sometimes a lap or so early or later but nevertheless it was there.
