Automobilista 2 V1.6.5 RELEASED - Now Updated to V1.6.5.2

Ich denke, die meisten Leute hier wollen, dass der ams2 schnell ist I think most people here want ams2 to quickly release updates like LMU, etc., so that ams2 doesn't lag behind. Reiza needs a small team and should last a bit longer.

 

i just want to see the brake disc glow texture updated o all cars . It's much better!

 

I just want to see brakes not becoming completely cold after a tire change.

 

Well, the DLC can be released with 1.6.5.3. It doesn't have to wait for big 1.7 update.
So we may get new content and minor update to go with it in July as per expectations.

I don't think there's enough to be disappointed or overhyped with the info we hold right now.

 

A thing I wish to see on the GT AMs is, a lime green livery. Boy I am in love with that

 

I think I missed something. If a new DLC comes out, do you know what it will be about?

Too bad. It's content that already exists in several simulators.
I think AMS2's strength is its classic content. I'll keep waiting for cars from more '80s F1 seasons.

Well it’s mostly information. Renato said we’re getting a graphics update about shadows and anti aliasing so I just assume the big graphics update will come with V1.7. The tyre info comes from the beta QnA

 

DLC in July is Endurance Part 3 with the Astons and hopefully a few more GT3 additions. The opening post from Renato here sounds like there will be more dlcs soon too, from interviews and rumors upcoming dlc should be Historic Le Mans and US stock cars

But of course don't take anything for granted, enjoy the current state of the game

 

So, as far as I can see in the game files, the new vehicles have been added. The Aston Martin GT4, the Martin GT3 Gen1, the GT3 Gen2, and the LMH

 

Also found the Vantage GTE!

 

But how many of those are legacy files from Project Cars?

 

At this point it looks like none.

 

Yeah, I guess those were the GT1 and LMP cars.

Suppose the gt3 gen 1 will be free and the others all DLC?

 

Following previous content releases, I would expect gt4 to also come for free

 

I would like to see the sales figures for the upcoming DLC to bear out the same impatience that is omnipresent on this forum... (The MOMENT it releases, wallets at the ready!)

 

I gotta say, the update to be able to get into online races just by clicking in whatever web is organizing the event might seem like a small thing but it is actually quite a very nice addition. I am playing much more online just because it is less hassle, specially with VR, since I do not need to write passwords, filter the servers or anything.

 

I really enjoy the GT3 tire updates from 1.6.5 and even managed to improve my lap times after a few tries. Sadly the performance issues other people described in the formun persist for me. I have the new LOD fading turned off but I still get noticable FPS-drops on certain parts of the track. I did not get those before 1.6.5 and it is not a cooling problem of my PC (as I have air conditioning).
Reducing the graphic settings did not really help. To test it further I drove 20 laps on Watkins Glen (time attack, so same weather, no AI) and I got the FPS-drops every single lap in the same places: T4 (small stutter), exit of T5 (big stutter), entry of T7 and T11 (big stutter).



I hope this can somehow be fixed as I have the same effect on other tracks. Please move my post if there is already a seperate bug-report for it. Thank you!

P.S.: Some nice new Astons would significantly reduce my suffering while waiting for a performance fix.
