For me at Monza as well. Terrible performance... it also got bad when trees got "improvement".

First, great work so far, the GT3 is really a dream to drive! But would it be possible that for 4-6 hour races, the cars could appear dirtier than they currently do? And perhaps Renato could answer whether the in-game HUD will be improved, like for fuel consumption, etc

yes I also have this issue. My GPU usage don’t get higher than 75% and CPU max is 60%
I drive AMS2 in VR and I have some lags and Stuttering.
The Frame Quality gets worse when I have low fps. That is really bad.

    System:
    GPU: RX 6800
    CPU: Ryzen 7 5700X
    Ram: 32gb ddr4 3600mhz
    VR: Oculus Rift S

I bought the Quest 3S and I will test if it gets better.

Also the Temperature is not going over 60 degrees Celsius.

Hi reiza and everyone, i just want to know if the next endurance pack 3 is still to be release for this month?
If more work is needing, i am good to wait when it is ready. I am just curious since we are in the middle of the month and we didn’t receive any info. I am hype.
Thank you reiza for your good work.

I'm just glad there's another comment here. Was starting to die out a little bit.

I am also excited for the Endurance pack pt 3. I have some hopes that now we have a JSp320 model that, with some appropriately set up numbers (not a simple process I know!) we can get a separate LMP3 class for ELMS simulation fun!!

Personally I am not so interested in content, the game has so much already.

What is really important is QOL updates, bug fixes, and a big step forward with the AI. The AI, whilst good, has many weaknesses. Relative performance due to fuel load, strategic use of fuel and tyres, use of different compounds, awarness of track condition and temperature. Damage, tyre temps and wear, brake wear are out of sync with the player. The players GT3 G2 and LMP2 G2 start to suffer overheating (worn) brakes after 2hrs driving, AI has no troubles at all! The endurance cars pit for tyres earlier than for fuel, only using 10% or less of the tyre, even with fuel x3 and tyres authentic the P2, 3 and 4 classes AI pit for tyres before fuel. The player can double stint without losing significant time. They are generally rash in their decisions to overtake, no concept of risk/reward or race length - they race with "last lap" desperation all the time, no concept of racecraft! They are very fond of pit manoeuvres on corner apexs and will also push the player often damaging the rear wing. I believe this is caused by the car behind the player getting a speed boost and gives the impression of rubber banding. They steer aggressively into the player to regin position into their corridors during contact. Rejoin after leaving the track dangerously. Have no penalties for any infractions, ever. Without improvements to the above endurance racing is at best disappointing, at worst pointless, hence giving me little appetite for more endurance content.

The AI corner speed at pretty much all tracks vs the player are inconsistent, some corners they are really slow, others impossibly fast. There are at least 2 or 3 examples of this on every track. The AI is functional and slowly improving but there is still a long way to go.

Edit, another I forgot, AI has no "dirty air" penalty, can run nose to tail at max cornering speed. Also never have any effect of head or tail wind, best seen using "real weather" where the wind is more evident. Sadly the AI have no awareness of it. The Madness Engine is truly amazing in what it models, unfortunately though, the AI are oblivious to what makes the game so special to drive for the player making for a frustratingly unbalanced experience against the AI.

Moderators feel free to move this post to the AI discussion/feedback thread where it has a better home! :)

What is the ETA for the content drop? I hope it’s next week I’m off work!

It’s good to see the Aston, but I hope we also see the other GT3s to round off the GTDs -Ferrari. Ford and Lexus

Are there normally 5 cars in a DLC?

I’m due an upgrade but putting it off until maybe winter
Here’s a tip -grab the oculus tray tool and setup a profile for ams2
Reduce the vertical fov to about 50 to 60% & the horizontal down a bit too

yes it will seem like your wearing a racing helmet too win win

your PC’s work will dramatically be reduced

Have you checked the VR thread? There are numerous things that can cause stuttering and it’s not necessarily because you’ve run out of headroom with your hardware. People have had stuttering with 5090s and 9800x3d’s and it’s not because they are reaching hardware limits.Have a look through that thread and try some of the tips, just do it one at a time rather than changing a bunch of stuff at one time. Using settings that reduce the strain on the hardware can help but stuttering is quite often caused by something else.

Unfortunately it´s not really worth moving because it isn´t a report but rather a compilation of physics & AI complaints and while at least some of it surely follows, with little to no specifics we can´t really follow up on much of it one way or another; you would get more return for your typing if you included more information about what cars, tracks and settings you find these issues with.

For instance we did manage to fish out from that post the point about AI pit strategy issues on P2 / P3 / P4 classes and found the issue with those, so thanks to that you may expect those classes to be much improved in that regard in the next update.

If you could tell us which tracks you are experiencing brake overheating issues with in GT3 or LMP2 and what environment temps you were running on maybe we could offer some setup advice to mitigate the issue - the setups are afterall required to be adjusted for the conditions in AMS2.

Likewise the AI corner speed inconsistencies, we can do something about the persisting ones as we come to know of, but we need to learn what car / track / corner / AI Skill combo that is being picked up on in order to be able to address it.

Blank cheque reports might get the hot air out but with just a bit more typing I think you will find you can actually help us improve the game and your experience with it as a consequence ;)

SPA, same thing. Very noticeable in turn 1, any graphics settings. Something broken for sure.

To be fair, except the braking issue with GT3s, that I have not tested and probably is a setup issue, this post is a good compendium of well-known things to improve. Not implying it has value as a report per se, but I think this is not yet another whining post. The guy knows the sim and I think most of us seek into this kind of QoL features. I disagree how he starts the post though, more content is not necessarily opposed to QoL features. Also to be fair, I support this sim because I have the feeling Reiza is worried about that ("reizability" as was coined at some point).
Most developers out there are not. An example is how in the last Raceroom track the AI does not work even with the cars intended to race there, or how an SMS developer trolled a user asking for full-course cautions in their forums because "nobody actually wants that, debris does not need to be cleaned in the sim".

I have no braking issue, I was referring to the post renato is citing. The issue about overheating in long races. I have not experienced anything like that. As Renato implies, it probably has to do with default setup in hot conditions.

Didn´t suggest he was in my reply, which also aknowledged some of the issues would have merit to one degree or another including one issue he specified we did manage to verify and address thanks to him; point is while posts may very well stand as valid legitimate complaints, by adding a bit more info we can turn them into actual reports which we can then use to make the game better for you - everyone wins ;)
