Tracks like Nords have their own scans since they already know they will be licensing to multiple parties ad they don't want the track disrupted while multiple scan teams plod around doing their work.

Assume everything else in between from old scans to no scans, depending on the track.

Also assume that laser scanning is not a necessary prerequisite to a good sim track. It helps to speed the process and for accuracy, but if scans were needed, we'd have no historic track layouts.

[Ooops, already answered by the big boss ;) ]

Haven‘t played the game in weeks & wanted to fire it up again to take the Aston Martins to the new Nordschleife, but now I‘m not so sure anymore. If you play more than one sim, you own the same content in different sims, but owning/ buying the same track in one sim twice? Maybe I pass on this one, but I‘m still thinking about it.
Will the AI be good on the track?
Will there be good online racing on the new version of the Nordschleife?
Last time I tried to play AMS2 in multiplayer, I had massive frame drops, like other players too (there is/ was a thread in this forum about it). Has this issue been looked into and fixed?

I was wondering what the process is behind building cars after licensing deals. Is actual data and internal numbers provided by the manufacturers? Would love to know if there's some past documentation around this process.

One day, we'll get an update that removes the built-in steering assist for gamepad players, and us too we'll be able to enjoy the game. One day.

I understand the critics, but we're still getting a free overhaul of the 2020 versions. So if you don't care about the 2025 upgrades of the track you don't have to buy it or try it when a friend hosts it. I love that we will see the shortcut so we don't have to run a full outlap on Nordschleife qualify.

Looking forward to try out the new cars (GT4 lineup is getting huge) and what 1.6.6 delivers. Hopefully this dlc doesn't mark the end of endurance content, still hoping for a few more IMSA tracks, cars (especially Mustang GT3) and 2025 liveries down the road

    Quick question :
The 2025 Nurbugring will have a preview like the AM cars DLC or you need to buy it first ?

    In short yes.

Bundles cost the price of each unowned item included less the bundle discount so if you own everything except one item you can repurchase the bundle at anytime and it will cost current store price of that item minus the bundle discount effectively giving you the final item for the price you would have paid for the final dlc if you bought the bundle as a whole at that point in time.

The other stipulation Valve put on these iirc is that bundle purchases can't be gifted.

    eg:

    When there isn't a steam sale in progress a bundle of DLC A and DLC B each costing $10 with a bundle discount of 15% would cost (($10 + $10) * 0.85) = $17.

If we then later add DLC C with a standard price of $10 to the bundle, as you own all the other content, buying the bundle again will cost ($10 * 0.85) = $8.50

When thinking about the price also remember Nordschleife is about 5x the length of a normal track :)

When thinking about the price, don't by F1 20,21,22,23,24,25 and so on...or what you spend on hardware so far...

The Endurance pack came to me personally, I drove the Valkyrie in another Sim, but the Alpine, especially the Ligier JS2-R, looks interesting, I agree with the price that everything is fine, if you don't want to buy, there's nothing to whine about, there are two projects where the price is higher and nothing, they buy.

The only thing is, how difficult it is or not, to save in your career, for example, as in the same LMU, you want to drive for 6 hours or a little more, but it's hard to do it without saving

I made a ton of MP recommendations here a while ago. Not much has improved since then; actually, one point ("When navigating through the "all cars" menu when selecting one, there is no scroll bar. If you want to go from ARC Camaro to VW Polo, ouch") was not only not improved with a search bar and a scroll bar, the ability to scroll through cars has just straight up vanished.

I'm not going to be one of these people who complain the game is broken and that the developers don't care about my pet use cases; Reiza have made it clear that MP isn't a priority, and I've learned to accept it, even if it's disappointing and I think the game would benefit from having QoL improvements in that area.

I appreciate all the hard work, and I look forward to the new cars and updated track. One thing I have a question about: will there ever be an option to turn off reset to track? Nothing is more immersion-breaking than seeing someone go off track only to have them teleport right back on track. I've lost quite a few races due to thinking the road is clear only to have a car teleport right in my path causing a crash. I hope one day to be able to turn that off.

Beware! Ams2 is becoming so sexy, you may need to introduce age verification ;-)

I'm genuinely hoping the JS P4 is also in works to complete the Ligier European Series so we can have another relatively niche series in place, especially since we have two thirds of the tracks in game already.

And it sounds like a fun multi-class series too!
