From an objective perspective, if you go back five years and compare it to where it is today, it's very impressive how AMS2 has grown. Thank you, and please give us another two years (or more) of updates and content. I find all this whining about costs and prices ridiculous. I'm pretty sure that while some of them were writing about their frustration about the price, they consumed at least two cans of M*nster Energydrink, which in some countries is the price of the new NS 2025 :p

Thank you to the Reiza team. The last few weeks must have been difficult, so I hope everyone is healthy and everything is good!

Everyone will have their own version of what would be ideal and it's always going to have a little confusion when dealing with this amount of extra content.

For me though, the important thing is that they didn't just release a pack and be done with it but are actively planning on more - glad there's possibility for more than one Historic Track Pack (and hopefully more than the current 2, really want some vintage US tracks).

Dealing with the expansion of those plans is confusing no doubt, but IMO "more of a good thing" is "a good problem to have"!

I don't need road cars part 2 though, that one can wait :p

I think one thing AMS2/Reiza cannot be criticised for is value for money. If you think $8 for the (only?) 2025 version of one the longest and greatest tracks in motorsport is too much, you can choose not to buy it and enjoy driving the freely improved 2020 version, and/or the 2025 version for free in multiplayer, and/or wait for a sale.

I think the price is fair - as others have said it is the cost of a burger, and at my pace I would have finished the burger before completing a single lap of the Nordschleife. Those expecting developers to work for free indefinitely should realise this will only result in the closure of studios / developers choosing to work on a different project, which would result in less competition in the industry and ultimately higher prices and worse quality for us drivers.

Eating a burger in, depending of the car let's say 7 minutes is slow.
Paying the burger, let's say for 6€ is expensive.
You can drive the track a thousand times if you like, although that comparison lacks quite a bit.
Especially in that you don't own anything you buy on Steam. But that's another topic.

The price from my point of view is very fair compared to what other companies take for it, and dont update it for looong times.

Well, the sheir amount of ams2 will not allow to regularly update all the stuff.
Except when they open the codebase and all the stuff, which might happen someday.

Open source again. Right now, this company is on a good track, believing in its customers,
    trusting in its sales.

I believe that Raceroom also has a relativeley recent version of the Track, if it‘s up to the 2025 spec I honestly don‘t know.

A little bit of nerdiness on the side:
There is a good chance that the new Reiza version is going to be outdated on it‘s release, as the Ring Racer rollercoaster is partly demolished right at the moment. Also the „Ringwerk“ gets a makeover and will be used by car companies in the future for testing and for that they will get their own entry to the GP Track.

The ring is always evolving. But i think its not important to be always on the brink to have the newest data. Racing excitement is more with who did drive there and what happened moments.

Outdating can be a chance even: old tracks in reizas are a good ecample, when people like to have the old races again.

The more i think of it, the more opportunities i see :)
Depending on the community. There are many old men :D
Also there are a lot of new men, who drive the new stuff.

I'm 100, posting this from the future in 2077 and can confirm that the 2025 version is obsolete. GT3 and LMDh are totally vintage and not many people remember these cars, as sim developers stopped making historic sims a long time ago. :p

I don't want to complain, but am I the only one who thinks that very little has been improved in the update? For example, nothing has been changed on the HUD, which is from 1950. Important things aren't addressed; you get zero information during the race, etc. Reiza does a great job overall, but the important things are missing.

I applaud you for engaging the very vocal but (I bet) very tiny minority demanding you work for free. I think it's time to stop engaging them. It does you credit, but they cannot be appeased. Just please know the VAST majority of AMS2 customers are going to support you. I haven't played a lot of AMS2 lately because the online system isn't where I'd like, BUT...I'm going to keep supporting you financially and enjoy the single player racing from time to time. A world where AMS2 succeeds is a better place. Keep digging, sir.

I would very much love to know what TIME today the update is set to go live on Steam. Gotta make life plans, ya know?

Of course Reiza is entitled to ask money for their work. But also the customers are entitled to buy or not and also give feedback if they like or don't like something. It's the customers that are giving the money after all. I think for the majority of users who complain, it's simply an odd choice of DLC. We had this content already in a previous DLC, we also have plenty of race tracks not represented in the sim at all. Asking for money for updates is not a first, but usually it happens when a track is way more outdated. I am sure there are things behind the scenes that made it a logical project for Reiza (maybe a WIP new official licence?), but it's still quite an odd choice looking at it from outside today.
