You don't have to. Nvidia Control Panel or Nvidia Profile Inspector cannot override/augment AA settings of AMS2 (or ACC or PC2).

You can make all the changes you want, they just won’t have an effect in the game.

EDIT: I stand corrected, using NV Profile Inspector I got FXAA and Transparency Supersampling to apply to the game, I just had to specify the AMS2AVX.exe

Yeah, you sorta kinda need that .exe
Now whether to start playing in there or wait for an official fix some time later.
The Nvidia settings take priority of the AA settings in game I assume?

They do if you specify ams2avx.exe and not ams2.exe :)
I've spent a couple of hours playing with it. Post processing stuff like transparency supersampling and FXAA work and can soften the image and slightly reduce shadow aliasing. You can't actually change the Antialiasing Setting to use for instance 16xQ [16x CSAA (8 color + 8 cv samples)] because this AFAIK won't affect engines using deferred rendering (eg PC2, AMS2, ACC)

    Game Version/Build: 0.8.0.2
    Track & Layout Used: Any
Car Used: F Reiza (but believe this applies to all)
    Applicable Settings: n/a
Report: There is a problem with the in-cockpit brake bias setting - Example: F_Reiza default is 58/42. (which I believe means 58% front and 42% rear).

But if I increase the brake bias while in cockpit, the message says it is increasing but the number is actually decreasing.
i.e the on screen message says
    'Increase brake bias 57/100' then
    'increase brake bias 56/100' then
    'increase brake bias 55/100'
    and so on.

So I am not sure if it's just the text 'increase' / 'decrease' that are back to front, or if I am actually decreasing when I want to be increasing, if that makes sense.
    Steps to reproduce:

Go into cockpit. Use your assigned keys to try to increase the brake bias. You will see the numbers decreasing, even though the accompanying text says it is increasing.

Report: (Low priority) "Visuals" menu settings should also be part of the separate saved configurations files between 2D Monitor and VR Headset.

It's great we have separated configurations options between both 2D and VR sessions. I also change stuffs in the "Visuals" settings like godrays, bloom, etc. between both game mode and I'm probably not the only one. Should be great to also save them separately. Thanks!

Not sure if you class this is a bug, or more of a general annoyance that needs attention:

    Track & Layout Used: all
    Car Used: V8 supercar
Applicable Settings: Camera = bonnet cam?
Report: Windscreen wiper is major visual obstruction, view of right corners severely hindered - see screenshot:

    Track & Layout Used: Any
    Car Used: MetalMoro MRX Duratec
Applicable Settings: AI Race, 20 Cars, Same Class, PLAYER LAST (ISSUE).
Report: Game spawns me in a random position, sometimes 1st, sometimes 4th on the grid. But I wanted to start from Last Place. I am listed in the table before start in the 4th place, for example. When I should have been 20th.
Steps to reproduce: Start a Race with MRX Duratec, and 19 opponents, AI 100, Agression 70. Same Class.

Track & Layout Used: Any track
    Car Used: Sprint Race series
    Applicable Settings: settings seems irrelevant
Report: Sound occasionally clips when high revving.
Steps to reproduce: Drive the Sprint Race car on any setting and you will hear popping / distorted sounds indicating clipping.

Lowering volume of both master / player car engine etc. do not help. Sound still clips, but it will just be lower volume.

Track & Layout Used: Any track
    Car Used: Any car
    Applicable Settings: rolling start enabled
Report: Engine stalls on certain rolling starts
    Steps to reproduce:

    - start a custom event race with rolling start enabled (either controlled by AI or manual, it does not matter)
    - wait for the race to start (green) then ESC and 'Retire to pitbox'
    - click 'Skip to End'
    - wait for a while and click 'Restart Session'

=> The car has the engine stalled preventing for the rolling start to work properly, presumely because engine was stalled in the pitbox. Subsequently restarting the session gives the same result. The only way is to start a new custom event.

i am pretty sure thats intentional since the cars that do that, usually have the rpm/gear/position stuff on the wheel itself, cars that have that on the interior usuallly hide the wheels fine
