A new Early Access build of Automobilista has been released - v0.9.4 is now out.

    Build v0.9.4 changelog below:
    • Fixed UI bug that could cause game to crash when clicking to exit it
    • Adjusted shaders & environment RGB settings for some lighting & color accuracy improvements
    • Adjusted AI slip reaction (improving reaction to front wheel grip loss)
    • Slightly improved collision detection & reaction (also slightly improves AI awareness to other cars)
    • Corrected TV Cockpit camera orientation rate in several cars
    • Fixed error which caused dust smoke from the dirt side of the road to be almost invisible (might actually resolve some performance / stuttering issues too)
    • Fixed bug with Salvador & Ribeirão dynamic road conditions not working
    • DynHUD: TelemetryInfo.mLapDistance is zeroed before crossing S/F line in a race session; Fixed NPE in LaptimesRecorder
    • Further tweaking to AI behavior to tone down aggression in close racing conditions (does not apply to mod cars or tracks unless these use the same AIW values)
    • Corrected AI qualifying performance in several tracks (were missing the ratio parameter that makes AI slightly faster in quali)
    • VIR: Tweaked road spec and changed event dates, updated skies accordingly
    • Spielberg (all versions): Shot down misplaced birds
    • Boxer Cup: LOD optimization; corrected skin alpha channels; callibrated AI performance; tweaked default Setup & tire physics
    • F-Extreme: Fixed bug with DRS flap opening not being visible; Fixed visibility of driver arms in T-Cam; Corrected wheel mount position & RPM leds; Set minimal weight to 702kg as per 2015 rules; adjusted weight distribution & tire physics
    • F-Reiza: Adjusted tire physics; Corrected wheel mount position & RPM leds
    • F-V10: Adjusted traction control scale levels
    • F-3: Corrected onboard cameras
    • Opalas: Fixed shift light not working

EDIT: We have added a hotfix v0.9.41 to this release, with the following changes:
    • DynHUD: Fixed accidental reloading of configuration; Fixed MapWidget scaling and positioning (specially for Kart tracks)
    • Kansai: Fixed missing Kansai GP layout
    • F-Extreme: Fixed missing RPM LED update in Groove & MK teams

A couple of bugs from the previous version still remain (DynHUD freezing in Multiplayer when switching to race; Saved multiplayer replays show floating cars), these will be addressed for the next update, along with some other Multiplayer-related tasks.

A detailed development update is going to posted shortly too, so stay tuned!

If you have a bug to report please use the bug report thread. (make sure to check the opening post).

The Beta tool needs to be updated as well, since it's separeted from the game.
Just need to wait Reiza to update it.

    • F-Extreme: Corrected (...) RPM leds
    • F-Reiza: Corrected (...) RPM leds
I'm sorry, but those are broken now, not corrected. F-Extreme doesn't have any RPM lights and F-Reiza has RPM lights at very high level - not corresponding with the actual RPMs of the vehicle.

// after this very recent "silent update" all is OK now...

Server listing should be sorted, apologies for any inconvenience.

AMS Dedicated Beta is also updated, and should be released in the open soon.

Substantial fps drop with the new version here.
I had constant 75 (vsync on, 75hz) on VIR, now down to 37-40.

AMD, all set according to the graphics guide as always. Never had such severe fps issues before.

Yeah just figured that wouldnt do it. Odd though, cant think of what would cause it.

Try switching off DynHUD. If that doesn't change anything, try checking an add-on track, see how it compares. A fresh profile never hurts either.

The car also doesn't seem to work right. It reacts with a slight delay to my steering inputs.
It's weird. Must be due to the fps (hovering in the 30s now).

I'm using the old HUD. Will see what i can do.

All seems to be working, although DON'T click the X at the top left in multiplayer. Disconnects you straight away. Tried it maybe 10 times. You off the server pronto!

Jan, if you have standard vsync enabled, then if the fps gets even by the smallest amount under the refresh rate, it will drop to half the rate to prevent tearing. You probably have 37,5 due to this. Try disabling vsync to validate.

    Thx for the tip, Pico.
Restarted the pc now and fiddled with some settings a bit (unchecked and checked again vsync, max frames to off instead 75, etc..). Now i'm back at 75 fps (vsync on), and it seems to be running sort of like how it did before.

    Thanks. :)

Indeed, why was this changed? Original ones were much better and made a lot more sense... now they are just on almost all the time, it doesn't add visual value for the shifting process... :(

David, have you got the latest update? Hex referred to an issue related to a missing file earlier, this has been sorted. The only thing that actually changed in this build is that the LEDs now light up one by one, (rather than 3 by 3 as before) - which is accurate :)
