I use the SimXperience software to control bass-shakers based on telemetry and the gear shift is definitely being sent to out of AMS2. I would look into the X-SIM side of the equation.

    Track & Layout Used: any
    Car Used: only caterhams tested
Applicable Settings: high ffb settings old & new profile 100/80/0 (g27)
Report: not sure if it's a bug from brakes or abs is active in background, but braking give huge oscillation like abs (but car doesn't act like abs is active). Lower settings help but I see in ffb meter that oscillation is still present.
Steps to reproduce: braking gives oscillation in ffb meter, with enough gain, the oscillation becomes noticeable at some point.

Can be, that is an already known bug from this thread
FFB: Just a heads up to Reiza last post from logiforce page 2

Edit: have tested custom profile with complete removed scrub and engine vib.- effects and in-game 100/0/0 but the oscillation is still present. Effect is much higher with minforce/deadzone removeal.

Almost the same thing happens with some of the regular karts. Front-left bake damage (it doesn't exist on the kart!) as soon as you enter the track and then often the right extreme locking wheel.

    1. BTW, what is the track in your first image and 2nd image?
    2. It's not a bug, it's camera plane near clipping. It looks like you are using "behind the helmet" camera but you moved the camera to far forward or you FOV is to extreme. Simply reset the position and you should be fine. Are you in VR or monitor view?

track is the old "österreichring" in spielberg.
in picture one, you see the standard cockpit cam of this car (70), no changes. had to adjust it, to get rid of this black thing on the nose.
picture 2 is the default t-cam (roof cam). no changes by me.

i had the same issue with a thrustmaster wheel and found a workaround in a forum, it might work with your wheel as well.

    open your "ffb_custom_settings.txt"

scroll down and you find the following lines:

    ##lock_stops
    (stops (bumpstop output 0.05 0.5 0.05 0.1))
    (output (+ output (* stops custom_lock_stop)))

    replace them with:

    ##lock_stops
    (steering_pos ( if output 1.0 -1.0))
    (stops (bumpstop steering_pos 0.1 2.0 0.1 1.0))
    (output (+ output (* stops device_lock_stop)))

then, choose"custom" in your ffb - settings in the game menu.

Track & Layout Used: Spielberg GP
Car Used: Stock Car Brasil/ V8 (maybe more)
Report: Car crashes in pits and gets stuck, no way to leave garage in training or qualifying.
All fine during test Day but not in Race Weekend.

Edit: Does not happen all the time, seems to depend on the player's garage spot.

Same. If I switch to "Old Default" in settings it's there, but not with "New Default".

@DINOSSAUROHUMANO @Sib I posted a custom version of the New Default here which fixes the lock stops and boosts the output a bit for non-DD wheels. It needs fixing properly but use this until it is.

@NuScorpii you are quickly becoming a local expert! Can you help me understand why the lock stop works perfectly on my wheel, but others are not getting it in the latest New Default? I thought there was only one setting in the txt file for this feature.

The main problem seems to be the introduction of a new variable for the lock stop calculation: custom_lock_stop

This used to be device_lock_stop as it was in PCars2. What I think may have happened is that custom_lock_stop is defined for some wheel definitions but not others or it is not defined with a correct value for certain wheels.
