will give this a go now, thanks for sharing it here. I've actually been meaning to give the default another go recently it's been ages since I've tried it.

Anyway have been driving the G58 and Dpi a lot lately and found the steering in these high downforce cars to feel quite light with Kuku's most recent file in comparison to the last version I was using. Anyway it will be interesting to do some comparison. I should really dive into tweaking the file myself but time is scarce at the moment!

 

Funny, I tried the Kuku V3 yesterday, and found it a little light as well, but informative and nimble and easy/quick to rotate, which Kuku has explained to me some time ago that he likes things this way.
But this being the case, and the default ffb seemingly so designed as to keep you on the wrong foot at all times(I'm being cruel with Reiza now), you should really find my "Frankenfile" to be a nice compromise in attributes we generally seem to look for in our ffb.

The file is a normal Karsten 4.6 Fix ... with some tunings different from the original but the same ... with regard to the center, only the increase in centering to 0.85 is detectable, a slight change to the center full ...

centering 0.85............................................. original 0.50

and the lines of code are identical except for only two lines relating to the center which have been changed in the value from 25 to 12 and precisely:

(angle_d_l2 (* angle_d_l 12)).............. original 25
(angle_d_r2 (* angle_d_r 12))............. original 25

Thanks @GearNazi for reminding me this ... I want to try again only these two lines of code that I have never tested in my file.

 

I think i will delete both of the posts with two different betas of V3 as it’s confusing people by the looks, and i haven’t got the feedback i needed.
I’ve got a mix of different strength versions of what will be the last version of Delta to upload this weekend before i remove my t300 from service with Simagic Alpha mini to be installed in place next week.
I’m looking forward to the extra power and fidelity as trying to get strength and smooth low friction rotation out of low end belt wheel is a challenge without saturation of details.

I have that upgrade slated for Q1 or Q2 of next year, but my propensity for sticking to these projections are almost as bad as Reiza!(I'm done now, no seriously, it's... It's gone now, all good.)
It's the one item with our hobby I've been putting off forever, primarily because it gets real expensive so quickly, and it turns me into a greedy monster with the extra rims, the "why not spring for a Podium or top-of-the-line Simucube, and get some buttkickers or a motion-seat while we're at it!".
But in the end I need to just come back to earth and find some good value, price/performance proposition.
Or.... The trusty T300rs simply gets involved in a work related accident.

Hey guys, so I've always loved AMS2 and been my fav sim since it first came out but ever since I got my Alpha Mini I just haven't been able to get the proper feedback that I used to get with my G29, it just feels... Idk wrong? Can someone please recommend me one of the custom files to try out? Also there is nothing I can do either in game or my Alpha manager software to get rid of of strong harsh oscillations that are felt at any speed... This doesn't happen in any other sim nor did it happen with my G29 (or the week I owned a T300)... Pls help! I miss my AMS 2, sim racing isn't the same without it.

first thing you need to sort is the Alpha settings by the sounds of it, because something isn’t right.
Join the FB simagic owners group and search for the recommended settings of Technosis ( Dennis Wiltzen ) he is also on you tube.

Get default ffb working ok , before toying with custom would be my advice.

I am using the RFUKTOR TUNES2 Orig high end.txt on my TSP C racer now. This file is the base that this T500 owner is using with some tweaking from member Kuku

My TM control panel settings are all 100% except damper (experimenting as I am starting to feel subtle differences in AMS2, I was at 100% before).
In game, Gain at 70% Damping at 35% then LFB and FX at 50%

really good base overall and then I adjust gain/damping very slightly car by car

 

I have implemented in V2 a few things, I have twisted others, and modify others ... now I am retuning everything ... I have gone from 92-22-58-28 to 96-75-55-15 and have a more manageable center, good slip and relax, better predictability of auto behavior , I use again high LFBs without elastic effect, I feel the rubber in a similar way to the default but I have all the nuances and the information of karsten 4.6 ... I still need a little more time but I hope that by tomorrow I will be able to post you my new tuning-mod KARSTEN ALL IN ONE V.3 ... and I hope that i is not the only one to hear this!!!

You're right let's call it "a controllable, predictable and normal elastic effect" ... I hope

 

Spent some 30 minutes or so with it yesterday, on a half-dozen cars.
Nice weighty feel, and excellent around the center.
Since everything is a compromise, this seems to happen at the cost of some finer details, as well as the dynamics of loading up in faster corners.(The load-up is just about the only thing I like in the default ffb atm... Everything else with it just serves to throw me off.)
If I had to name it, I'd call it "weight", since arguably it does too little of anything else?
Might be something for DD wheels though.

 

Yes it worked quite well with cars that have comparatively light FFb , but become to mushy with those that seem to be twice as strong. the variation in base force strength is really tricky to overcome.
feels like two different sims inside the one at times.

that tight and immediate feel around centre is what I’ve been going for but can’t get the force range right.
