Yeah, absolutely, it can be a pretty intense way of racing

Yeah, I'd pay good money for an actually good singleplayer stock car sim that isn't NR2003 and that's coming from someone who doesnt even have much interest in the sport, so I'm sure there are people hoping for that addition way more

Do we know what tracks are coming as part of the USA pt.3? There is the pic from Gateway but any other ovals revealed so far?

And technically we already have Daytona.. Just the oval layout needs to be added. You can drive the oval in a test session.

Even though I'm usually very sarcastic I didn't mean it that way.. But it's true it's been public info for months if not a good year now or so

I agree, as a lot of people who were dissapointed in nascar 21 ingition could have decided to try ams2. Nonetheless i am happen with cart oval racing, even if the superspeedway we get is daytona, and not Pocono (from what I know of) as i dont think cart/indycar ever has or will race at daytona

Really hoping mid race saves make it in. All the endurance racing content in AMS2 make it an obvious addition.
It's what got me into ACC. I could do a 3 or 6 hour endurance race over a week (yes life is busy with kids and work) . Once I wanted more, I went online racing too with shorter sprints, but the endurance part got me drawn in.
To be honest, if this doesn't get into AMS2, it would be a borderline deal breaker for me so far as endurance racing goes. All the endurance content would be meaningless. And all content would need to be played as sprint races, which defeats the purpose of the Brazilian Endurance cars, the GT1 class, GT3/E etc etc.
I guess what I'm saying is, content can suffer when there is no substance in the functionality backing it up.
    Fingers crossed.

My guess is that the technical limitation would be the way livetrack works. We cant skip within replays because livetrack always relies on what has happened before (it cant make snapshots).

In ACC, the track rubbering and dry lines are canned so its easier for the game to have a saved % wetness and % rubbered, and for these values to just be loaded next time you load the saved race

Same id love to see a Reiza style 90s NASCAR/Stockcars, sure we have the superV8s and the old stockcars but its just not the same, plus with Reiza's modelling and style, im sure we would see 3 different models to choose from in the rooster, Maybe even be similar looking to there real life counter parts

I'm curious then how iRacing handles track evolution, because you can see lines develop on dirt ovals and RX tracks, but I believe you can skip forward in replays.

I guess the be whole story of AMS2 has been the pros and cons of the Madness engine. It had much more potential from a physics standpoint than people gave it credit for, but SMS didn't take time to work out the bugs/missing features.

This is true, but im pretty sure the worst (if not, all) of the legacy SMS physics issues are history. There are still plenty of legacy bugs and problems to deal with, like the poor quality of the anti-aliasing that has plagued madness engine from the start, or the notorious drop in fps in rainy conditions that makes rain unplayable for VR users.
