This is a very important and good point you raise. I see a lot of people with the best and most expensive bases or the best hardware. But still, they invest very little or no time in this hardware. Or they copy everything from self-proclaimed “big YouTubers” and believe they are doing everything right. But people who deal with it and invest time in it will, in my opinion, achieve the best results

    What's new:
    • Improved lateral forces (including those caused by crashs or bumps)
    • Improved vertical forces feeling
    • Improved kerb feeling
    • Improved offtrack feeling
    • Improved scrub effects
    • Improved engine effects
    • Retouched gyro forces
    • Reduced (not eliminated) wheel hands-off oscilations
    • Removed both kerb and offtrack (canned) enhancements
    Still to improve/implement:
    • Bottoming out effect, to be on a par with sound fx. Depends on Reiza, but expected to come :)
    • ABS/TC effects, perhaps? Reiza..? :)
    • Oscillations, hands-off the wheel (doesn't affect driving)

Oi @Joaquim Pereira thanks for your file, coming back to simracing after a year due to breaking my leg and I am trying to recreate a good FFB feeling on a newly bought Moza R9, I see you also recently got a R12. Would you mind sharing your pithouse .json preset if it's not too much trouble. I can adapt it to the R9 for a good starting point. Or are you using any default one?

Thanks and have a great day :)

Danielkart...you are so very lucky to live in Switzerland. I've never been there, but in my opinion, it is absolutely the most beautiful country on the planet!!! Also, thanks very much for all your hard work on FFB in AMS2...

    Hey Harvey!
Thank you for your kind words . I think the best place is always where you were born and have your family and friends. But yes, I am grateful that I live in a democratic country where the people can still accept or reject laws. Of course, there are good things and not so good things here, just like in every country. Greetings

I live in the uk and the past few years had me thinking about getting out.
It's not the same place anymore due to various reasons (inept, useless government doesn't help). Jumping into Ams2 helps immensely..
I travel abroad most summers on my Guzzi, mostly France but Switzerland is on my bucket list. Roads are so quiet away from the uk.

Yes, a lot has gone wrong in Britain and still does. It's sad to see how an entire country can get into such trouble because of incompetent governments. It's a blessing that Switzerland is not in the EU and the people have decided that way.
Yes, buddy, once you come to Switzerland you will be amazed by our mountain roads. But be careful not to go too fast otherwise it will be expensive with us ;)

    Hi, thanks.
I just use the default one - go neutral on everything, no damping, no friction , no nothing - just max torque to your liking (I still find no reason to go beyond 65% :))

Thanks a lot, I am sure with the R12 65% is already plenty ;)
Very similar to the settings I use in pithouse actually, only big difference we have is the Max Wheel Speed which I have at just 10%. Will play a bit with it tomorrow since now is quite late here, still trying to find that sweet spot with FFB.

There are many reasons why I personally wouldn't buy a dd1/dd2 at this time. I also had a dd1 and lots of unpleasant problems with it. Now Fanatec wants to empty its shelves because new generations of bases are coming onto the market. The new FFB software will not be supported by dd1/dd2. These bases are obsolete and have no future. In addition, all the problems with the flex caused by the QR1 quick-release system, which is now being replaced by the QR2, unfortunately at an expensive additional cost. The “Fanalab” software is only available to a limited extent because problems occurred with every update. In addition (my personal opinion) the FFB controls and settings are not logical and incorrect. That's why I would choose a different product, the selection is now very large and very good

There are good customs out there, three of them I have tried with my TM-TX and recommend (don't tried others), the best choice is a personal preference but those 3 are very good:
    Danielkart v400
    Allegunner68 (21 Oct 2023)
    Joaquim Pereira v4

Still running V70 I believe. Will definitely check V400 out later tonight!
I guess you need to change the file after the 1.5.3 update @Danielkart ?
