Is the custom file should be put on the mod file or in the root of automobilista. I download the jsgme.

If you download the 7zip file that is for JSGME here; Automobilista 2 Custom Force Feedback - Overview & Recommendations, you then unzip the Mods folder and the JSGME file into the Documents/Automobilista2 Folder, then run the JSGME program. The first time the program runs, I think it asks for the location of the Mods folder. It becomes very easy. Makes it so much easier to try all the different Custom Files. Just make sure the game is closed each time you change custom files, and obviously choose Custom in game. Most files have suggested settings for most bases in the file itself, and can be viewed with any text editor. Enjoy.

Hm, ok I'll have to have a look then. If anybody knows which pages please let me know.
I thought AMS2 runs at 720Hz. Not entirely sure where I read it or picked this up, I think someone mentioned it somewhere. Not a good basis for a claim, I know :D If anyone knows maybe let us know, I'd like to know as well.

I had a short exchange about this the other day with someone who knows game development a little bit, generally the frequency does not say much. Sometimes lower Hz is better because it's less taxing on people's systems.

Edit: Found the page, will post new links.

I think only the Ams2 developers themselves can tell you that. I've been saying for a long time that the cars feel floating and like a boat with Reiza's defaults. I completely agree with Karsten. Update 1.5 has changed a lot, positive but also negative. And there also seem to be problems with Update 1.6 otherwise it would have been released a long time ago. Anyway, I like Ams2 but there are other good simulations to have fun with

The wait for this update to finally drop surely feels very long, but it doesn't necessarily mean that there are problems. V1.5 was in my view to fix core issues with tyres (iirc some old Isi-motor code interfered with SETA), V1.6 is basically in my view an effort to create a solid foundation/basis, besides many other changes like UI, new physics like humidity and lots of new great content, I think it's great but it looks like it takes longer than anyone of us players anticipated.

I have no idea what's changed for you FFB file creators since V1.5 but V1.6 feels very solid I have to say from a driving standpoint.

If anyone can point me to the direction of the settings packs so I can test them on the R12 that would be great I'm struggling to find any of the settings and when I click links it just diverts me to a thread with no settings in site.

I did myself a irl driving experience in a gt Ferrari at Silverstone and after trying real life I still believe AMS2 go very close despite the fact that no sim get close to irl. The feeling and the way to drive is completely different in any case

Everything is default (neutral), except Natural Inertia 250% (with FSR wheel). This cancles wheel's oscillations with AMS2 and LMU, so is not game dependent, it's an engineer parameter that controls stability (based on it's inertia).

All custom files can be found in a single .7zip file here: Automobilista 2 Custom Force Feedback - Overview & Recommendations

Yeah, I come with a computer games background as well (20 yrs or so), starting with some Sega Megadrive/Genesis games in the early 90's.

The frequency by itself, when it comes to a physics engine, does not say much, only it has to output at some minimal rate to provide enough information for the rest of the game and the player.
But the algorithms used and the se
Yes, it's not so much a matter of the frequency itself, as long as the algorithms work as intended at whatever frequency. To me ams2 feels like driving boats, unf.. And they did change the physics parts over from rfactor 2, as I remember. However feels nothing like it. Also frequency for the ffb was changed from whatever PC2 had. The ffb files use various underlying functions, and if those were not modified when making the frequency change, they will not feel as intended originally by PC2 devs either.
Well, whatever, I hope it will be improved more to my liking at some point...

    Best,

Thank you I have downloaded this i appreciate it
When Joaquim Pereira said default settings dose that mean zeroing the settings because there's no default setting in moza and the settings i have are setup for the V6000 which is what I'm using currently.

My oppinion (and without further evidences, it's just an oppinion) it is related with visual representation of both space (POV) and, with particular incidence, with head movement. There is too strong of a filter in the roll (but probably on all axes) - we take the car out of the box and we can see it, slowly, leveling along the pitlane, like a boat on the waves. That filter takes away kerb and track ondulations/impacts that are present in FFB (suspension). When we go to LMU (the same should be true to AMS1, rF1 and rF2) that's so obvious.
AMS2 has always been a click away from excellence, but that click is yet to be made and a new tyre model will not solve it (because it is not the culprit). I really wish I were utterly wrong about this.

You should be looking for 0% or 100% values, depending on the slider (I guess this is true for almost all things in software ;)). See a few pages back, someone posted the settings.
