Very strange settings, I don't know where they got them from. But this will not work or will work very poorly on your T818

Yo this question might be ****ing stupid but here we go:

Currently playing AMS2, feels really nice after the 1.6 update. As per Reiza's internal tester, I'm using the Default+ FFB profile, with Moza pit house set to the default AMS2 settings.

This feels really good, even I as a beginner can sort of feel what is going (not having driven cars irl makes it a bit harder to understand sometimes)

However, the only thing I'm not super satisfied with is the force needed to steer the car, it feels a little light. According to Reiza, it's best not to mess with Pit House settings and try and fix it in game.

My question: Is this only fixable through damping in AMS2, or is there a Pit House setting I could play with without affecting the overal FFB too much? All I want is a little more effort required to steer the car.

    Thanks :)

Edit: forgot to mention I'm on a Moza R5

This is not a stupid question. Even if you have never driven a car, it is still your personal feeling and you must like it. I don't think Reiza is telling you not to change any settings on your Moza R5, that would be really stupid. Change your settings in Pithouse to your liking

You can use more"wheel friction" in the base, which should improve your feel, or more "wheel damping" in the base

Thank you friend, will toy around with these! I figured I should ask chatGPT as well and it suggested upping the natural inertia in pit house too.. would that help as well or is it wrong? :)

yes, that can also help you feel what you are looking for. The “Natural Inertia” can help you if you have a small and light wheel. Then you can use inertia to simulate a heavier wheel, so you will get more resistance

    Hi Daniel,

    big thanks for that File!

I run a DD1 and really like the FFB with your File, but I have one big issue. Maybe you can help me here..

The FFB is working very well, until I start to spin. Then it seems, that the hole 20nm of Force is being used, and it almost rips my arms out ;)

I run 30% gain Ingame. The Base is set to 100.

    How can I fix it?

I have 30% gain in the game. The base is set to 100%

This is exactly where the problem lies. With this setting you lose a lot of FFB details but have far too much power in certain situations. If you open the file you can see my recommendations for a dd1. Try these settings so you can keep your arms ;)

If that's what your looking for, the next version (v21) will please you ;).

Have you tried the low force boost? On lower power wheelbases it's often a good setting to mess with.

I'm looking forward to it. Will it take long?

I haven't! When I was reading Marc Collins' posts he said they weren't usually needed for DD bases, but I suppose it won't hurt to try this setting too!

I would only use LFB on very weak older belt bases, maybe 10-20%. And especially on gear bases from Logitech, here I would use a lot of LFB, around 50%. However, if you have a dd base I wouldn't use an LFB. The torque of these bases is high enough and does not need any reinforcement in the middle. In addition, there are disadvantages in the steering when using LFB

He daniel, i have the cs dd 12nm in base i use 100% ffb strenght and in the game i use your custom v3 file and the settings you advice but only gain in game on 35% because i found 65% to heavy for me. Is it wright that i better lowering the gain in base and stay with 65% in game for the details?

Thanks mate, much better now! It went from ripping of my Arms down to only braking my wrists, but that's something I can live with :D

FFB never felt better in AMS2! Legend!

Yes, definitely stick to 60-65% gain in the game because that way you get the most details without getting clipped. Lower the force on your base until you like it. People usually drive with too much power on the base. Remember that a force of around 9-11Nm is also present in reality. Only the karts can achieve forces of up to 20Nm

Anyone can recommend a good Truedrive profile for v1.6, either with a default set or a custom ffb?

No, it's basically ready, but I would like to check it on other cars before release.

LFB will fill your low end, giving you a stronger overall feeling. Marc is right, usually is not needed, but it will always be a matter of taste. I certainly used it on my TS-PC before, not a DD but about the same torque figures.

I have a Simagic Alpha with a GT Neo wheel. I have tried with 60 to 65 in-game and around 45 on the base as well as around 25-30 in-game and 80ish on the base. Both ways I have the problem/issue as @wuRSti1909. The effect feels pretty much the same either way. As soon as the car, any car, starts to spin, the base becomes exceptionally heavy. Will reducing oversteer scale help at all in this case? Other than that, I really like your latest file. Thanks Daniel.
