Automobilista 2 V1.6, IMSA Track Pack, Endurance Pt2 & Lamborghini DLCs RELEASED (V1.6.3.6 Live Now)

Hi all, just to break a lance here (my native language, more probably "stand up for so/sth"). Scrolling a bit down, I see the "just-race" banner on the right side, ... clicked on it, and wow, so fast, so clean, not this interacting advertisement, cooky messages and so on.
Will definitely give this a try. LFM might be more known, and hence, the reputation system is more widely accepted, however, I feel just-race doesn't get the attention it probably truly deserves due to the "Platzhirsch" LFM.
Let's see, I have two weeks off, family, Christmas etc., but I try to use the just-race service in a fair manner, ... going to report on how it went
Anyway, this sim is evolving all the time; never seen something like this, keep it up Reiza!

 

Suzuka for example, Barcelona is already in the 1.10. at the moment only Silverstone is spot On. Don't know if it's a track grip issue or the car is roo quick, but for some reasons on Silverstone is pretty valid

Will be the latest 3 DLC‘s on sale on steam?

 

1,10 is reasonable for Barcelona in perfect conditions (conditions can easily make a difference of 2-3 seconds in the dry, especially if you have a dusty track and gusts of wind in real life that will end up in a very slow circuit). The 1,10 will most likely be achieved next year. Silverstone is most likely too slow if it's only as fast as real life in perfect conditions.

Suzuka the "goal time" should be around 1,27's, but I guess that track is difficult to achieve perfect times for, partly because the version in the game is not really an accurate representation of the track (some cambering is not right, as well as some of the kerbs), and partly because it has very low grip asphalt in real life, which is somewhat hard to replicate without ending up with a slidefest.

were AI pit strategies during endurance races looked at on this pass? I didn't see it in the release notes. The issue is the AI (at least with the GT1) is very sensitive to worn tires and wants to change them at 80% of all pit stops - when fuel and tires don't happen at the same time, it adds a lot of time to their pit stop and gives the player a big advantage.

With x2 fuel, if tire wear is turned off, they won't change tires (phew)
x2 fuel, x1 tire, they'll wait to pit around the time fuel is needed, but change tires most of the time
x2 fuel, x2 tire and higher - they'll pit as soon as any tire wear happens, even if they still have half a tank left.

 

Steam Winter Sale just crushed Steam. It's a mess and LFM just posted about numerous game disconnects.

Reiza, please check the AI speed, on the Velopark track with the 2019-2024 Stock cars, they are very slow in sectors 1 and 2, I have already compared it with the Barcelona track, and they lose almost two seconds per lap! AI 112%, High aggression

 

All the times with Gen2 GT3 cars on leaderboards should be wiped out. And I sadly somehow still notice the Lambo being still more powerful, even if I made the AIs with that car weaker. The Mclaren is still quite cursed!

Feedback very welcome on any issues you find (I am one of the devs of JustRace).

We cater for different audiences to some extent. LFM is focused on the individual driver and ranking up etc. and you are 100% right it has a great following.

JustRace focuses on communities who want to run events, often with the same (or similar) group of drivers who have raced with each other before - The events are usually open to new people (in fact communities usually hope to recruit new faces from people browsing events looking for a race) and these new faces will hopefully become regular racers with them.

I stress that we both (LFM and JustRace) work together to help each other with issues we encounter and both work with Reiza to help improve the AMS2 MP experience.

Would you just do me an favour and try these changes with a track with trees very close to the track, e.g. Bathurst?

 

Sale started a few minutes ago on Steam (and crashed the MP servers that run through there apparently).

EDIT: Sorry, I read too quickly. The latest DLCs are never on sale so soon after release (for any game or racing sim that I know of). But everything else is, including the DLC bundles.

 

Ok, just checked steam since it seems to run fine again & they are not. Since some of us (including me) can‘t buy them with the 15% off bundles because we bought everything seperatly, this would have been nice. They don‘t have to be 50% off, but 10-15% would have been amazing.
So I will wait another year, no problem.

 

Well death, plank wear and that the setup needs to also be a good setup for racing a full gp. We can make a crazy setup which makes the engine explode after one lap, but if you get the WR in that one lap it’s fine

 

Will there be a discount on these DLCs ?
