Just to check, you have to select 'Add ghost' from one of the 3 slots on the lower left and then click the ghost you want to add (or one of the red options on the left at the top, like you can pick 'best in session' if you want your own ghost to chase)

Adding ghosts has been working fine for me. I assumed the OP was reporting some issue with the UI changes (I use a mouse so I don't know if it works well from wheel - I note the rest of the UI definitely has issues trying to get to every element on the screen using wheel buttons)

I would love to but I don't know if Reiza will make it happen. The Belo Horizonte and El Pinar circuits are missing from the 2024 calendar. About IMSA, Detroit street circuit is missing from the 2024 IMSA calendar. For what reasons, I don't know. So it's hard to know what is possible or not...

I know that there are experienced pilots here, tell me if the rain got better or worse in 1.6, my friends think that it got worse and it is impossible to drive with it

Impossible to drive? Not at all, depends mostly on the car, but I think the track progression got worse. It feels like no matter the case the rain doesn't accomulate enough to create puddles, and it feels less dinamic than before. AFAIK rain is heavily work in progress atm since they changed how it used to work before and it probably needs some dialing in still

Its definitely not worse. I always use real weather so ive ran quite a few practices and races with different types of cars in rain. Id say its pretty good and believable at this point. If they cant drive in it they are trying to go too fast on a wet track. Ive even ran a practice on slicks on a wet track with no rain and it was fine.

I did! Just lower the AI difficulty to the lowest possible, until you can keep up with them while barely touching the throttle :D

Now seriously though, I found this car actually got a lot easier to drive with 1.6. The rear end is a lot more predictable, it's actually the brakes that have been my biggest struggle with it recently, they seem easier to lock up now.

As far as I know, AMS2 is still the officially licensed Stock Car Pro sim, so I'm guessing the 2025 cars (or SUVs, at it seems to be the case with the new Stock Car Pro format) are a possibility. I'd love to get the new tracks, but Reiza was focused on endurance racing in 2024.

With the 1.6 update I feel that maybe it would be great to have the option to also change brake duct size for each wheel instead of only front rear. This will help to proper heat tires on asymmetric circuits (ex Interlagos, Road Atlanta, etc).

while more options arent bad idea , you wouldn’t be able to have a great difference between left and right blanking , I don’t think the cooling properties are significant enough on a hot day to avoid tire fire on loaded corner , but having imbalance of brake temps would make for some irregular braking performance.

Yup, the brakes are proper cr@p, but the car is actually tame to drive on race trim once you get used to the brakes. On qualifying it's a bit trickier, again thanks to the brakes, but it has so much power and acceleration that you are faster than you think due to the sheer speed on the straights.

For a proper challenge try it on a soaked track with 90+ boost, definitely one of the hardest combos in the game.

-=edit=- Tried again, now at old Silverstone, in old Porsche and succesfully chased a ghost. Will try again at Nordschleife...

on the NOS it is rarely possible to load a ghost due to the size of the race track

Wasn't sure about Brands Hatch, but it can be included too.

In addition to what others have said, try the Model 3 (the other turbo) in the same class. It is a slightly tamer cousin to the BT52 (less powerful and less explosive turbo).

But either of the turbos were two of the most notoriously challenging cars to handle in all of F1 history. You have power at levels the chassis and brakes were not yet ready to handle, and in the case of the turbos, the most incredibly peaky torque curves imaginable. Nothing...a little bit...a little bit more...and then BOOM, torque beyond belief almost...just in time to change to the next gear (with a manual shifter). Don't be sad or sorry if you cannot handle these beasts until you are truly expert at many other classes in the game. They should be some of the last cars on anyone's training list.

I'm in awe of anyone who drove these monsters back then. They were way less reliable, more dangerous and much more demanding. Mass respect!

At Nords yes, driving the new Corvette with the z07 update, i can choose other cars but not my own or any other Corvette for the ghost.

Thanks, yes i believe you’re right with regards to hot day. I’m speaking more about colder conditions, it’s really hard to get tire with proper temperature in some circuits, normally one tire is always sub optimal , and in this case having this option would make it for a more uniform tire temperature overall.

Have you tried just adjusting the air in that tire?

Yes, for sure i play with settings to mitigate that. I also realize currently setup options are already fine. It’s just that as Reiza is really honing the sim and improving all the time our options and the real life correlation with race in general, and considering the impact of tire temperature on overall car performance with update 1.6, it would be great to have this flexibility as in real life racing. But I get that if this is something that demands 130h work time for devs to implement it, I’m fine in letting them focus on new career mode etc.
