@Kuku is right. You would address this with a simple and safe tire pressure change, not playing with potentially imbalanced braking performance that could bite you in other ways.

Yes, good point, I haven’t thought about unintended impact on braking; I asked that because I noticed that on F2 and F3 races where it’s easy to spot brake duct cover that there was asymmetrical cooling on left and right brake ducts in circuits like Red Bull Ring, where there are much more right corners than left. Since my issue is more related to colder conditions, I believe brake efficiency wouldn’t be that affected. But this is my speculation only, I might be wrong of course

I saw one post about fps drops since update 1.6 but it's really hard to find out if an answer was provided.

I'm also experiencing fps drops during a race about 20 minutes in. After that, the fps stays low until the end of the race. This is in VR. As soon as I restart (of start a new) session, performance is back to normal.

It was reported in the Support forum as well but no answer so far.

Anybody knows anything that could help?

The game has a memory leak since 1.6 so just have to wait for a fix from Reiza.

How do you know it is a memory leak ? Have people observed memory usage ballooning in the Windows Task Manager ?
Speaking of which, the game statically pre-allocates most (or all) of its memory on startup, making a memory leak unlikely. Also a memory leak is unlikely to cause huge frame drops unless maybe it starts hitting swap memory backed by storage.
Not all sudden frame loss are caused by memory leaks. It could well be some specific conditions triggering a sub-optimal code path in the game's main thread, slowing everything down. Could also be GPU usage that somewhat gets sub-optimal for a while.

Let's hope for a solution. It's annoying to have low fps with a GPU at half it's power and another 40GB of RAM to spare (with all services, Chrome with an infinite number of tabs, SimHub feeding 6 hardware devices, CrewChief, etc., I rarely see more than 20-22Gb used).

If its never worked, then maybe its a feature not implemented, rather than a bug?

Maybe not a memory leak, but there is something very wrong. FPS dips out of nowhere happening to many, many people. Experienced it first time last week. I usually only race AI offline, but I was testing with a Multiplayer race against AI with rating turned on. It started in qualification and continued on into the race, so this isn't just on LFM. I have my system setup to only use 55% of resources, so plenty of headroom.

I don't have these FPS drops and I play AMS2 very often in multiplyar in LFM.

I recently purchased an LG 39-inch OLED monitor (LG 39GS95QE), and while it delivers outstanding image quality in most games, the rendering in AMS2 is noticeably underwhelming, even with all settings maxed out. Certain elements, such as the skybox or flat color surfaces like advertising panels, exhibit an unpleasant noise effect, almost as if the pixel grid is visible. While I understand that the PPI is relatively low at 96 (3440×1440), this issue is unique to AMS2. Other games like Raceroom, LMU, and others show no such problems. Could this be a limitation of the Madness Engine ?
Anyone know how to clean a bit the image for this kind of monitor ?

Is there much activity in the beta side of things ?, I’d imagine it’s pretty quiet with the Holidays but if there is are the bigger grids in for custom championship coming along ?

Anything is possible.... Areas close to me just got 4 plus feet of snow a few weeks ago and it was 61 degrees here yesterday.

Today I played AMS2 for the first time after almost a year and while it runs very smooth for me in single player (over 200 FPS, system is about 55%) multi player is unplayable for me. It goes down to a freeze, than 200FPS, than 30, 200, freeze all in 4 corners and I just gave up.

I guess I never experienced big drops on LFM/online, but I've experienced a few doing offline stuff (since v1.6).

It should be ME related. It's a method called dithering. It's efficient but may not produce the best looking images out there.
It was used in newspapers, fax machine (to produce "grey" from just black/white points), etc.

Thanks, it fixed it ! I was curious to see how it looks at "Ultra", my framerate have been divided by 5 but the clarity is stellar, incredible, looks almost like CGI (I need a 5090 now xD).
