Currently it's not possible to have both carbon fiber and metallic paint on a same bodywork. Maybe later, but it will require significant work on the shaders
Visible carbon and metallic paint work the same way with a black alpha channel. And the material used is either carbon or metallic paint, the two cannot be combined at the moment.
Again my apologizes. These tired old eyes do not read very good any more. I will look at a metallic finish with matte carbon and see what I can find out.
Is this last example based on a Metallic base livery? How you did it? The question with metallic+matt/dull was asked already in the past. AMS2 - User Livery Overrides
Yes it is a base silver metallic with a slightly matte carbon fiber black. If you copy the carbon layer to the alpha channel and make the carbon white it will reduce the reflection. Then convert to DDS using DXT5. No spec or fresnel files are used. It works with any metallic color. I hope this will help anyone who needs it. It is the best I can come up with. Note that images in the showroom appear different than they do in the game so do not base the final look on the showroom images if you try this.
