I also look at AMS2 as "Game is great now, i am having a blast with what is available and even after years of playing the game i still did not try every existing track and car combo there is. A new update releases ? That is just a bonus at this point.

I also agree on when the final update comes out the game will NOT be "dead" as the kids say these days, it will be considered "COMPLETE" and like you said - in the best state it has ever been.

In the end we all (hopefully) do what we enjoy to do and opinions may differ thats fine. No need to debate everything. Opinions can co-exist right?

Reiza have always been pretty laid back when it comes to their development updates and update releases, they would rather released things when they feel it's ready rather than announce things they think will be ready. For better or worse this is the way they choose to run their business.

With respect to reiza, they were horrible with keeping up with self imposed deadlines so I'm glad they stopped doing it. It was nice knowing what was in the pipeline but the hype was turning into frustration when those promises and teases went from being weeks away to months away.

From the outside looking in there will always be things that look like they need improvement for a communication POV. But realistically these things won't happen as from a reiza POV it's just another distraction, to which I somewhat agree.

If you're frustrated and annoyed about it I get it, but I recommend trying out other titles, LMU has an update coming and overall is in a really good place with it's physics's simulation. I can't recommend it enough for modern sports car racing.

For those of us who have been here on the forums, this is a broken record. Sorry for contributing to getting this started again - I just like talking about this game.

I feel pretty confident in saying that most people probably wouldn't be so frustrated by this current lack of updates without the "New content pretty much every month" or however it was worded quote at the beginning of the year, nearly six months ago. People really should know better by now, but the point remains.

Are most people frustrated? I just see a few people making noise. Noise is why there are no more dev updates. Actions have consequences. In this case a few spoiled it for the rest. It is what it is, move on.

Not frustrated. Just curious to know what is in store in terms of content and improvements to the sim.

    Exactly this.

One of the most appealing things for me was how communicative Reiza were. However I understand their currant position. It seems they are damned if they do and damned if they don't.

I'm still quietly hoping they decide to be damned if they do ;)

I don’t think a few toxic users, who aren’t even around anymore, justify going silent. Most of us are just quietly following along, supporting the game, buying DLCs, and staying patient.

Also, this is a forum, it’s meant for feedback. You can’t expect only praise (BTW, AMS2 community is one of the nicest one I ever seen). Some criticism is part of the deal when you're making a game like AMS2.

If a few negative comments are enough to shut down dev updates, then the issue isn’t the noise, it’s how it’s handled. Even a short, factual post every now and then would help keep people engaged and informed.

You don’t punish the whole class because one kid acted out.

I've been on board since the release of AMS2 and I'm sorry to say it but I'm currently looking forward to the upcoming LMU update more than the presumably upcoming AMS2 update. Maybe it's because I know what's coming or I know that the development in the MP area will continue. In AMS2 we know that the MP is at the limit of what is possible and we are trapped in the Madness Engine cage. It would be a dream if Reiza would say we bought LMU and we integrate our content into it.

I'm pretty sure the update every month was over a year ago or maybe longer and he said there going to be longer times between updates

No, the "update just about every month" quote was said in February of this year. Sadly it seems like real life stuff got in the way of that goal which is why we had a period of silence throughout the spring

I think it was a mistake that 1.6 created a good amount of hype but then let the game dry on new content for 8 months (STT is more of a small niche to goof around with to me) and nothing offcially in sight. Of course priorities change, licensing takes time and there were tons of very welcome fixes especially to GT3 balancing, setups and tire models.

But marking today LMU brought 3 DLCs including 8 cars and 2 tracks besides new features like really good HUD improvements since 1.6 dropped. And from what they tease all WEC 2025 content like liveries, Valkyrie and AMG GT3 is sooner then we might think. LMU really benefits from having a clear focus what is up next and having understandable timelines (even if they have to delay things). This makes people exited to stick to LMU and always gives people and content creators things to talk about.

Reiza announced in the March dev post that the next big updates will again focus on endurance with more content and specific improvements to multiplayer. I just hope we don't have to wait much longer to at leats know what is actually coming. I respect their decision to not do big dev updates before content is ready anymore, but throwing fans interested in the game a bone here and then would stil be very apprieciated.

I'm still waiting for the trackmarshals running on track in case of a stranding car or an accident, like they have promised to inplement in their sim (as it is in GP2), very looooooong ago.

They officialized it in an interview when they started their backing campaign for the title back in 2020. They said that loving GP2, they would take this F1 simulation as an important model, regarding also its features, and planned to implement all of them into AMS2, talking especially about trackmarshals as well.

Those persons who disagree are completely wrong. The thing, that Reiza was planning to intergrate animated trackmarshals, was personally told by Renato Simoni himself. If you disagree on that fact, it's only because of your ignorance about that. Ask Renato, if you don't believe it.
