It depends which custom file you are using?
Also, what settings are you using?

Simplified, you would use the gain & lfb sliders. But there might be better ways, depending on the above.

    Hi,

Im just about to throw in the towel here.

No matter how many custom ffb files I try I still can't get the wheel to reduce torque when the tires lose grip...under steer/oversteer. I've spent 98% of my time in game just doing laps in TT testing.
I now have a basicly brand new logi driving force gt now. I know its not apowerfull wheel, but in race room and rfactor 2, gtr2 it works great.. I feel everything, especially in rfactor 2.

All I can get in ams2 is bumps kerbs vibration under braking and a real hard to turn wheel esp when at high speed. I've tried virtually every combination of in game ffb settings.
Can anyone tell me what parameter I need to change in the custom ffb file to get the wheel to decrease steering wheel torque resistance when the tires lose grip?
Again within 10 mins of installing rfactor2 I get perfect ffb. I even have to reduce ffb multiplier in most cars there.
    Heeeellllp!

    Thank you

You have to tell your FFB settings (in game and in control panel for your wheel) or no one can help you...

Try adding some Friction and/or Damping. I use a combination of both; Friction to remove the looseness around center / Damping to control the rotational speed of the wheel (Responsiveness).

Lugnut....i went back to GTR2 last week cos i really did not like the lack of feel (and desire for rear to spin out). Thanks to people on here, i now use the default FFB on my TM TMX and am really happy with it. So while i cannot help with what 3 settings to use, I bet that there is a default setting you will like. I tried various of the custom FFB files, but the best all around feel i have found with the default. Hopefully someone on here also has the same wheel with some good settings to use

    Hi @SimRacingJunckie

These are the in-game FFB settings I'm using with the "Silver Raw 6.6.5.9.9.8 - Momentum Rack 4.4" custom FFB file. I'm on Thrustmaster TS-PC Racer Ferrari 488 Challenge Edition:

Gain: 60-80 (feel free to experiment with this value with the cars you drive as the suitable gain value completely depends on a car itself and how strong or weak you personally prefer your FFB to be, for example I'm using a lower gain setting with the high downforce cars (such as the McLaren MP4/12, gain value 60 feels fine for me with this particular car) and a higher gain setting with the low downforce cars, like the Caterham 620R, for example)
    LFB: 30
    FX: 70
    Menu spring strength: 10

And these are the settings I use in Thrustmaster Control Panel:

Wheel rotation: 540º (this is personal preference, you can use 900º if you want the game to decide the wheel rotation for each car, for example Formula cars have different rotation than Stock cars)
Master Gain: 100% (the detailed gain settings are left on their default values (100%) in Thrustmaster Control Panel, also the auto-center setting is left on it's default value which is "by the game")

Please let me know if you have any more questions regarding FFB settings. :)

Hey guys, I have been using the heavy Messing file, v2.5 I think it is. Does anyone know if there is a setting in it to stop the wheel vibrating badly when applying a fair bit of pressure to the brake pedal?

Your settings are quite similar to mine on the T300 RS. Which version of the file are you using? The reason I ask this, I'm curious to know if the TS-PC is better suited to the "High End" or "Low End" files? I've recently had to rebuild my OS and then had Covid impact my direct family this week, so I've had very little testing time. The Silver Raw 6.6.5.9.9.4 "Low end" file felt really good on my wheel across a wide range of cars right out of the box with Default TM settings and 60-75/35/50 in-game settings.

I'm hoping to be able to put some time in with the newer files this weekend.

Sounds like the scrub effect. You should also feel this on grip limit in high speed corners. The FX slider affects this, so you can try reducing there or you can decrease the value in the file itself.

Ah Man, Thank you so much, Great feeling on my TS-XW, I tried 3 cars with gain of 60-65 and it feels Incredible. Took a little break from AMS2 as I am focusing on the Dirt Rally 2 World Series but I will definitely get back into this full time after the series..Can't wait to drive Nurburgring in VR . This and DR2 are definitely my favorite sims. Many Thanks again

I'm using the "High end belts" version of the file and I'll admit right away that I have never even tested the "Low end" version myself as I didn't think it was necessary to do so as the "High end belts" versions of the Silver Raw files have always felt very good with my wheelbase.

I believe that the "High end belts" version of the file is the one that suits best for the TS-PC as this wheelbase can produce quite similar levels of FFB as the Fanatec CSW 2.5, for example (which can also be considered as a high end belt driven wheelbase). For the T300 I think that the "Low end" version is the way to go and your experiences with it as you have described here just makes me even more convinced that you're using the right version for your wheelbase. :)

No problem, mate. I'm glad I could be of help. AMS2 and DR2 are also currently my favourite two sims as well. ;)

I never tried the low end and I don't think I will as I am very happy with this. Now if I can just get my set of T-LCM that have been back ordered for 2 months I can stop on my Sim Racing spending spree..Ah wait, the 3080 cards and the Reverb G2 are coming out soon... Might have to get a divorce when the wife sees the Credit card bill lol.

LOL I hear ya. I just got this sim along with a new G29 wheel and shifter setup this past week.
Now I have a Wheel Stand Pro on order coming next week.
Plus I have a Reverb G2 on Pre-Order, and am planning on a new 3090 card.
    Ugh.

Cool man, I think you are correct and that is what I was expecting to hear. The "high end" files were a bit too much for the T300 and I was having to dial them back quite a bit to suite. The new "Low end" files have been a big benefit.

The latest Silver Raw 6.6.5.9.9.9.9 "Low end" file is really good baseline file right out of the box with Default TM settings and 70-35-50 in-game.

I agree with you on this. I did just tested the latest Silver Raw 6.6.5.9.9.9.9 - Momentum Rack 4.4 (September 13 2020) "High end" file. Works really well on my TS-PC Racer wheelbase with default TM Control Panel settings (except Master Gain at 100% and rotation at 540º) and 65-30-70 in-game (on some mid or low downforce cars I adjust the in-game gain setting to 75 or even 80 sometimes). Definitely my new favourite version of the Silver Raw files, my previous favourite was the version 6.6.5.9.9.8.

Before the version 6.6.5.9.9.9.9 I was testing the version 6.6.5.9.9.9.7 yesterday and it just felt way too light for me when turning my wheel in corners, on straights it felt okay, it just felt a bit too light overall. The latest file, the 6.6.5.9.9.9.9, is much better in this regard and fixed the issues I was having with the version 6.6.5.9.9.9.7, very nicely balanced overall. Very happy with this.

In fact the latest 6.6.5.9.9.9.9 file is so good that I managed to improve the world record I was already possessing on Brands Hatch GP with the McLaren MP4/12. I'm glad to announce that I'm the first person in the world who has managed to go under 1:01.000 on this track with the MP4/12. :)
