Great question! I think AMS2 is way better out of the box than AC ever was. I know Kunos no longer develops it, but it is still under development...
For me this is entertainment outside of AMS2. I can come here for a few minutes while I'm taking a break from work or chilling. I can "enjoy" AMS2...
