Just to manage expectations ( though this might be a lost cause ), I don't believe anyone has said that the update will definitely be by the end...
This is not a promise. They were ready to release as a RC, but some beta testers had CTD so it has been put on hold, but we are close.
Releasing an update which say causes 1% of peoples games to CTD, would cause such an outcry, it would likely be really bad for the game's image....
Because the Beta is in a "not for media state", so no photos or videos using it are allowed to be made public.
