[AI Tip] For the best consistency, always match the car era with the track era!

    Hi everyone,

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but I wanted to share a quick finding regarding AI behavior in high-speed sections (like the Raidillon at Spa).

If you ever notice the AI having an unrealistic amount of speed or grip when driving older cars on modern tracks, here is a simple workaround to get perfect consistency:

Always match the car's era with the track's era.

    • Vintage / Historic cars (Pre-2005): Run them on historic layouts (Spa 1993, Spa 2005, etc.).

    • Modern cars (GT3, GTE, Hypercars, etc.): Run them on modern layouts (Spa 2022).
Why this matters: When running an older car (like a Group C or GT1) on a modern track like Spa 2022, the AI logic tends to follow the modern racing line and aerodynamic expectations of modern cars. This makes the AI profile too aggressive for older physics.

By running those same older cars on the era-appropriate track (like Spa 2005), the AI behavior becomes perfectly natural, lifting off the throttle and managing the weight transfer properly.

I'm sharing this because I hope it helps new players avoid the frustration of picking a random combo, getting destroyed by a "cheating" AI, and wrongly concluding that the game's AI is just bad. Just matching the years brings out the best of AMS2's physics!

Thanks for reading, and see you on the track!

    Best regards,

    Kaimous
