Thanks for that post - you've just made my day.
The only two things I really want to see in this game are the Nurburgring (which is already confirmed as DLC) and Group C cars, which you have now confirmed for me - and the latter is free .
I have just glanced at the existing custom textures folder (as the comment re: cars being already in the game, suggests the content is there) and based on the textures, the Group C cars will be the same ones that are in Project Cars 2, but obviously with AMS 2 physics & FFB etc. So that's - Sauber C9 & C9 LM, Nissan R-89C & R-89C LM, Jaguar XJR-9 & XJR-9 LM, Porsche 962 & 962 LH). Textures for these cars are already there.

It's obviously entirely subjective and personal preference, but I love #3 every time, followed very closely #2 the 905.
The 787B sounds good, but it's just that bit too ear splitting for me to enjoy it. I've read and seen interviews with Johnny Herbert where he says clearly a couple of people (another driver he names and I think himself as well) received permanent hearing damage from driving that car. I've driven it in racing sims (rFactor 2) and I can easily relate to it, as it really gets to you pretty quickly. I imagine the real thing would be borderline painful, even with ear plugs. (and I'm someone that likes high pitched 2 strokes motorcycles).
Awesome cars though and such an amazing series. It's just a shame it first got neutered a bit (the change to the 3.5 litre engines), then cancelled. But it's another series that had very high budgets, shone for a few years, then went into the history books.

São Paulo with cold temperature (and track surface) plus this tinny intermittent rain means very slip track surface... in a special stage race, wort a big prize. This will be a very good race.

I think that Reiza already told something about bring this car to AMS2.

I haven't found it, on which base car (MCR P2, P3, P4?) is the MCR GrandAm designed?
