From the screen shots you can see the ID numbers, for beta it's 388990, AMS2 is 10669890.

Well… Now I see your problem

I was wondering why an account without Backer status was asking in the public forum about how to run AMS2 Beta in VR. This whole thread was super weird, but now that I see that you don't have AMS2 Beta installed in your Steam Library, it makes perfect sense why you're unable to run AMS2 Beta in VR.

Having access to Automobilista Beta (which I see in your screenshot that you have in your Steam Library) does not in itself give you access to the Automobilista 2 Beta. The only way to get access to Automobilista 2 Beta was to be a backer in early 2020, which was possible until sometime in March 2020 if I remember correctly.

EDIT: I see that you posted a similar Steam Library screenshot in this thread on August 30th. Sorry that I didn't recognize the source of the problem back then. :(

There is also on Steam when you right Click on the game name buttonThen Properties and under GENERAL a LAUNCH OPTION field

Try : "-openvr" or you can try also "-vrmode oculus"

If you want to run AMS1 (maybe also the AMS1 beta?) in VR, there is a thread about it here:
    AMS1 working in VR

I don't know if the Crew Chief VR mod supports Oculus or if it requires SteamVR, but in the thread I linked to above I see posts by many people with Oculus Rift S, so it looks like it's supported. If in doubt, ask in that thread. :)

Going by the thread title you said you wanted to start the AMS2 Beta in VR, but the sceenshots of your library show you don't own that, you own the AMS1 Beta and my suspicions are you thought it was AMS2 Beta instead? If you owned it, it would look like this:
    upload_2022-9-14_18-37-40.png

If you want to use AMS1 beta in VR, then you need to follow the instructions in this post: AMS1 working in VR and can just as well use the normal AMS1 version since there's no more differences between beta and release versions for AMS1.

If this is just a big misunderstanding on my part, please let me know :)

Confusion is on my part! I think I’ve come to the conclusion that buying AMS1 and beta was a waste of money. Should have only bought AMS2 and the DLC packs alone. I haven’t tried AMS1 yet either, was focused on AMS2 and trying to get beta working in VR.
