AMS2 Catherham Superlight Championship and Saturday Sendacular on the MoonieGT Discord.

Caterham Superlight Championship:
A Community Championship Series (CCS) has been announced on the MoonieGT discord, and it will use the Caterham Superlight cars from AMS2. Here are the details:

• Event Time: Saturdays at 12:00 UTC
• Sim: Automobilista 2
• Car: Caterham Superlight
• Qualifying: 10 minutes
• Race: 20 minutes
• Setup: Open
• Weather: Real Weather
• In-game race time: 13:00 (unless otherwise stated in the schedule)

  • Event 1 - 30th April – Curvelo Short
  • Event 2 - 7th May – Donington National
  • Event 3 – 14th May – Silverstone International 2001
  • Event 4 – 21st May – Taruma Internacional
  • Event 5 – 28th May - Ibarra
  • Event 6 – 4th June – Cadwell Park

The championship will have a points leaderboard that gets updated after each race on the discord. The best five results for each driver will contribute to their final score. This means that it is possible for a driver to miss a race or strike off one bad result and still have a chance of finishing well in the championship or even winning the whole thing.

While we have a leaderboard for this community championship, the focus is on enjoying the driving and racing with each other. We are a friendly bunch on the discord with a very relaxed atmosphere. It is not compulsory, but most of us are on voicechat during the races so that we can have some fun banter with each other. Even if you can only attend a few of the races, we would love to have you there and driving with us. Our only main rules are to use common sense when driving and if you accidentally crash into another driver, pull over safely and wait for them to retake their position ahead of you before you carry on driving again.

Saturday Sendacular:
After the CCS event (so at roughly 12:45 UTC), we also do some bonus racing which we call the Saturday Sendacular. These usually involve taking a specific category of car around three are so tracks in events that involve a 10 minute qualy and a 15 minute race. For example, this Saturday (30th April) we will take the GT3 cars around Spielberg, Jerez Moto and Silverstone. We generally select the car and tracks a few days before the Saturday and try to pick something that is going to be fun to race. Feel free to join in (you don't have to do the CCS race beforehand, you can join in at any point during the Sendacular if you are around).
We don't always use AMS2 for this Sendacular, but it is primarily used since it is so easy to set up an online race in that sim.
