If I was to build a PC just to run a dedi svr, whats the minimum spec I would need. Max 25 cars at any one time

well, not a lot to be honest, server has minimal cpu and ram usage, also network usage is not much, i think it uses more of the one that enters the lobby first in terms of network usage, etc,etc

you can set that it has a race director and broadcaster with the flags:
AMS2 Flags tool | TROLL SimRacing

not sure what it does, my guess would be it will just reserve a spot for those 2 roles, also keep in mind if u set for example the grid to 30 players, you are limited in you track choice, because of the amount of pitboxes available on track, and i think you still need to assign a broadcaster and race director in the lobby manually

As far as broadcasting all we have is the documentation from Project cars 2 to go by for now, they share the same engine, unless it's been changed by Reiza here is what the PC2 manual says regarding broadcasting.

It first must be enabled for the server via the flags like Roy stated and then once you're in the MP lobby the session HOST must assignee the player to be Director and then if you have 2, a Broadcaster. If you only have one person to stream you MUST set him as DIRECTOR as without a director assigned you can't have a broadcaster.
AFAIK, This has not been tested in AMS2 but unless Reiza has disabled it, it should work;)

I'm using the internal one - 192.168.1.250 is the IP of the machine running the server.

I have setup a dedicated server and everything seems to working fine except for no AI cars filling the grid. I'm using the lua sims_rotate configuration. I have the GridSize and MaxPlayers set in the server.cfg to 24 and 2. I include the FILL_SESSION_WITH AI flag in the sims_rotate default configuration. The web interface confirms these settings. However, when the session is started with 2 players connecting, no AI cars are added. Any suggestions?

I had problems like that all the time on my DS.
I now use the software from Emporer servers, and it works a treat

Automobilista 2 Server Manager / Emperor Servers

Thanks for the response Andy. Are you saying you rent a server from them or use their Server Manager software to manage your self-hosted DS?

Yeah, i use that on our league server, great for scheduling all events.

For my casual lobby races i use the http api, which works well for what i need it to do

I'm convinced. It's a small price to pay for what appears to be a great tool.

Good afternoon, sorry I phrased the question incorrectly. I want is it possible to create a LAUNCHER.exe that allows you to manage the settings of the dedicated server. So that it can be more intuitive and more functional?
Manage the Dedicated Server at the same time even when you are in loby so that you can also modify any starting grids example. It would be a good step forward, where it would pave the way for the opening of the multiplayer which is not very popular.

Hi guys, it would be nice to have a GUI for managing the dedicated server, not via the web which makes it not very functional. I hope it is on the development list to generate an application for the dedicated server and player management.

ah ok, well, you can setup the server to be controlled from the game, not modify starting grids though, but you can change just about anything, you need to set controlsgamesetup to false in the server.cfg file, you can also use the -selectds parameter when starting the game to create a lobby on your server.

i am using a more extensive gui, albeit via a webbrowser, with the use of the servermanager from Game Server Hosting for Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competitizone, Automobilista 2 and Project Cars 2 / Emperor Servers for our league, allows to schedule events and such.
