Now that we can have to 48 cars in a single race session, is it possible to add liveries ourselves so that the amount of livieries is not the limit of how many cars you can race?

I second this, there are certain classes that really need more livery slots like F-Reiza, so we can have HRT and Marussia. Or something like being the 11th team on the grid for F-Ultimate Gen2

I wonder if at some point it would be possible to create custom car classes to get around the numerical limitation of the Reiza classes or to have more flexibility to mod more seasons.

For example, a 1993 CART season would be possible where the Lola chassis was used almost exclusively. At the moment the high number of Reynard chassis prevents this skinpack. Or you could create a 1984 F1 season and assign the right number of turbo and naturally aspirated engines to this mod. In addition, you could create your own logo for these seasons and thus have an individual racing class.

However, perhaps this is already too far advanced and complicated to bring into the sim.

Im hoping with the final updates for AMS2 that we will see a whole new way of modding to extend the games revelence. All of the modded tracks are just conversions from PC1-2 and even then they need alot of work.

I wouldn't expect anything to change when it comes to track modding

on the pc2 side, UTL3 created this incredible app which makes editing edfbin files (engine physics) much easier - no need to do some... what must be dark magic and goat sacrifices on the HeX editor.

Something like this would do wonders for the community
