AMS2: The ‘Not-a-Priority Things to Fix’ List

For Formula Trainer (Advanced) you can set up the brake duct opening.
Quite unusal for Formula Fords ... even forbidden or not mentioned in most FF regulations.
Cannot see any brake ducts in the model.

 

Are you talking about the regular Trainer, the Advanced, or both? Pic is of the regular one.

If this will actually be fixed, I wonder if you increased the correct digit in the version number.

The first bridge on the Silverstone circuit (between Village and Brooklands) has an issue with the shadow caster. Only the shadows of the billboards are being projected.

It's my first time using the British circuit in AMS2; is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

 

I will test, what Silverstone version is it, what date, time of day and weather are you using ?

 

It's the modern version of Silverstone with a cloudy sky.

 

Found the graphical issue and reported it in the Bugs section.
EDIT: It is reported to be fixed in the 1.6 version.

At Long Beach, the sun rises on the wrong side. The sun is supposed to rise in the East and at least settle in a final location, so that AMS2 can properly simulate Californication.

The Pacific Ocean is to the west. The sun sets in the west. Currently it sets to the East, looking inland. Literally unplayable ;p

 

The ocean is directly south of the track/downtown Long Beach.

 

i mean, yeah ok. but the sun was still rising over the water. It should rise on the other side. But hmm, ok, you might be right. The hairpin does face directly East, doesn't it? the sun rise was pointing slightly south of that. I'll take a few screenshots and confirm.

 

The formula vee tyres seem very quiet compared to other similar open wheel cars like the formula trainer.

In the trainer you can hear when your are pushing the limit while in the vee they only really make a scrub or screech once it's too late.

Is this something that has been brought up before? I really enjoy the vee but end up having to almost mute my engine to be able to get any audible feedback on what the tyres are doing.

Maybe 1.6s sound improvements caught this but I thought I'd mention it as I'm really enjoying the vee

 

Maybe this isn’t a “minor” fix, but I’m putting it in this thread so it doesn’t clutter up the 1.6 hype or announcement threads… any chance we’ll get some fixes for the Speedway/Oval car variants in the future? The steering ratios are really intense, almost feeling like they’re doubled somehow - even at the lowest setting it feels like it’s above the highest on the regular setup. Very twitchy and easy to lose.
To be honest I feel like I could live without oval racing overall, but I want to run an Indycar championship and I do like the variety.

 

They feel better in V1.6
