AMS2: The ‘Not-a-Priority Things to Fix’ List

As the developers are outside Europe, the issue with "that numberplate" on the BMW is that the blue rectangle on the left marks it as a modern European Union numberplate, so clearly we're not in the 1970s.

 

This is not really a thing to 'fix' but more of an personal suggestion: In my opinion the flame animation (while looking nice) is a little too slow making it look 'videogamey'.

As a referece here is a real clip of a Super Trofeo - notice the quick an 'hard' backfire looking like a muzzle flash from a gun:

And here is AMS2 with the flames appearing for a longer time and therefore seeming 'softer' and a little artificial:

Maybe the visuals could be improved by simply speeding up the backfire animation to 150% - 200%. You can try it directly in the YouTube player just to get an idea.
Of course this is just an suggestion and must be decided by the devs and afterwards the beta crowd!

 

It would be very cool if Reiza rework the contact model between player and AI, in Stock car on Oval, its nearly always the player who start spining if an AI hit him. Same if the player touch the AI, the player start spining

 

The wiper animation is out of sync with the rain clearing effect on all variants of the Fusca.

 

have you considered maybe using a different abbreviation for Temperature of WATer on the Audi GT3 virtual LCD display?

would it be possible that a MOUSE RIGHT-CLICK doesn't mean BACK?
It is really annoying especially when watching replay. You'd like to set your cam position (as with free cam) do a right-click, and BANG -- you are leaving replay

 

yeah, i've had it a couple times and got that frustrated that i setup a profile in my mouse software to disable the right mouse button when ams2 starts, as i tend to watch a lot of replays after our league races

 

It'd be nice to have some brake disc squeal audible from the cockpit. Race car brakes are loud, especially under heavy usage, and it's just a part of the soundscape that I think is missing for m'immersion.

You would need it to be a separate adjustable channel as like tyre noise it’s very much down to personal preference.

 

Probably just put it in the FX slider or something? It's very much in that category in my opinion.

After a recent Stock USA Gen 3 online race i am again hoping that one day the collission physics will be fixed so that cars front bumper to rear bumper contact does not result in gluing together and the car behind just losing speed, but instead a realistic DUMP / SHOVE forward of the car ahead.

 

Oooh that interest me a lot, since the contact Model ( especially with AI) on nascar is a pain, or the contact Model in General. If the fix that it could be really appretiated
