I am not sure if this is a bug to report here but is possible to some how tune down the SC behavior, even if I put it at not full track in a 9 laps race came out 3 times , it’s a hit on immersion. Please take a look on that somehow . Thanks in advance .

Forgot if i posted about this before or not. Image for reference:

Oval tires are just not made well that would reflect loss of grip over time.

At Fontana Oval with Stock USA Gen 3 for example, the front tires can be as worn as the edited image above shows and i will STILL be able to hit the same lap times as i can with completely new ones.

This should be redone so that there is proper grip falloff as the wear goes down to 3/4, half and 1/4 and especially once it starts reaching the bottom margins. As of right now driving in a way that saves tirewear is totally pointless because there is no punishment for it. I started losing time only once the tirewear was in the last 10% or less.

On the Caterham Academy, the area of the windscreen cleared by the windscreen wipers does not match the movement of the wipers.

Add in the details of the car the shifter specifics. Right now the sequential shifter definition doesn't distinguish between paddle shifter and stick sequential shifter. I think it would increase immersion and it's a simple fix to implement. Thanks! :)

if so, can the default trackside VR camera positions (e.g. for menu backgrounds etc) be rechecked at the same time - there are currently one or two tracks (Monza Historic?) where the 3D VR camera spawns right up against a 2D sprite and it looks bad - I don't really mind, but if they populate the pits of more circuits with more sprites it will be a growing problem.

This is my job, so I will check these 2 tracks out next week and see what's going on.

If that was directed to my previous post regarding the shifting lights, there is no remodeling necessary. The McLaren's shifting lights in AMS2 are going from the outside to inside but as seen on the on-board they go inside to outside on the real car.
The Nissans shifting light on the wheel just has to be seperated from the over-rev light on the dash (the point it lights up at). So the over-rev on the dash stays the same, the shifting light on the wheel lights up at around 7200rpm (from my testing).

Whether you have resources for that or not I obviously can't say, just wanted to clarify there is no big remodelling needed to apply these.

Formula Vintage Gen1 Model1 still doesn't have the front anti roll bar.

I have reported it before, please take a look on these cars, there's a big difference between Gen1 cars to have a good competition.

Same with the rear brakes heat transfer to the tires, please take a look on these items before v1.7

Please also check historic Silverstone. The cam right after the first bend is behind a wall. For ages now.

Well this is definitely in that category of "not a priority to fix", but for example when we first enter the 3D world (so the menu with the qualifying times etc) at Spa 1970 (both layouts) we are standing close to where the modern startline now is, in a field of mixed cardboard cutouts and solid animated people (turn your head to the right particularly). If I press the + key once I end up in a royal box type thing at the top of the grandstand with an awesome view overlooking the activities in the actual pits and the start line as it was back then (so on the run down to Eau Rouge) That royal box would be a far better default position, even though there are cardboard cutout people visible too, they are further away and the eye is attracted more to the cars and movement. You could also just have any of the random positions in cow fields etc. around the track as the default.

Monza 1971 10K (both) we are somewhere on top of the pits surrounded by cardboard cutouts (this is the one I was thinking of when I made the original comment). If we press + we are alone on the start-finish flag stand on the opposite side of the track and that would be a better default (unless there are plans to put an actual flag-person there).

At Monza 1971 Junior and Normal we spawn right next to a chain-link fence. Whether it is in front of our face or we see through it can depend on if we lean forward or not, and it probably depends on some kind of VR setting (i don't know what it's called but something about making surfaces invisible if they are too close). Again one or two presses of the + key would be better places, such as the flag stand, or the inside of T1 of the Formula Junior track.

Also sorry if "cardboard cutouts" sounds dismissive, it's a good solution to fill the stands without taking too much processing power, just we don't want people to (immediately) see the trick.

Yeah, that issue has been bugging me for a while. I think just about every track in VR starts at the last VR camera of the lap. Im going to have to bring it up with one of the clever guys.

The part about the chain link fences, it might be a setting my end. If I miss changing the near plane clipping value it looks terrible.

And this isnt me shirking my responsibilities, but the placement of the VR cams is sometimes very tricky. I try as hard as I can to put them in spots that I think would be interesting, whilst not putting them in mad spots like right beside the tracks. I also have to consider the fact that the VR cameras always alternate to save the viewer from breaking their necks trying to snap around every time a camera changes.

Maybe it could also be possible that the VR cam catches the car right away when I go into replay in camera mode? Now, I have to switch through all the cameras and search for the car around the track and that can take a while. That's an issue which is bugging me for a while

Is that when you pause during a race or practice?

I think he's talking about how in replays, clicking "trackside cam" gives us this new spectator cam thing, when I think most of us who use VR would prefer it to work exactly the same as it does outside of VR, trackside cams following the selected car around TV style without a requirement for us to play TV director.
