AMS2: The ‘Not-a-Priority Things to Fix’ List

Totally agree, in VR we can't see anything in "trackside cam" its just a straight and we barely see more than 30m

 

Im going to have to try that myself. I dont do a lot in VR so I probably havent seen that happen.

Exactly! Thx for explaing this. To me it would be ok if the camera is where the car is from the beginning. I have no problem switching the cams from then on. I even believe thats better then if it would switch automatically.

 

I am still a little lost on this "new spectator cam thing" sorry. I have been testing the last couple of days and as soon as I hit trackside cameras, it works as expected (except for the last camera in the cycle popping up of course, that is being looked into), that is, I go to the normal VR cams and need to cycle through them as the cars pass.

Note, I am only talking about VR cams here. So if it is an issue outside of the VR cams, I will need to check that out.

 

Thx for looking into this. Maybe we are talking about different things... What I meant is: I drive and esc to go into quick replay and switch to track side camera. Then the chosen camera is not the one where the car is atm. I have to switch cameras around the track in order to find the car. This in VR.

 

And if you are not in VR, it cycles automatically, following the car. We want it to also cycle automatically, following the car, in VR. Apparently that was the original behaviour in earlier versions.

I can't remember it working that way in VR. The VR cameras are in very different positions to the normal trackside cameras, so I have no idea how they would have been triggered to change cameras.

I'm not saying you are incorrect, I just dont remember it working that way, or know how it could have worked.

 

How should it be possible? In VR the movement of the sight is controlled by the movement of your head. How a program should be able to move your head?
On the other hand this behaviour could cause massive nausea to much of the users.

Will we ever get VR trackside camera replays?

Try using the trackside cam in replay in VR at the Nordschleife 2020 layout. For some reason, at that track specifically, it correctly jumps you to the next camera and you can easily follow a car all the way round. You'll see what I mean.

 

It feels like the directional audio is too strong in ams2. For instance, when I look left or right, the engine sound shouldn’t be isolated to one ear, but should still be coming from everywhere inside the car.

Length: 25%
Track: Nürburgring GP, dry weather all race.
What I Found: It was a 36 laps long race, I was driving the Panoz which with 100L only last 31-32 laps. By lap 33 Almost all the AI Porsche did not have to pit. By lap 34 a Safety Car came out, the Porsche in front was able to finish the race without pitting.

Is the Porsche way more efficient on gas?

 

I don't mean cycle your head, I mean autoclick the "next camera button". Check out a replay with trackside on the Nordschleife 2020 track and you'll see how I'm saying it should work - or at least what it should do if the user clicks the car they want to follow in the list at the left.

I missed the VR cams there completely. Will fix that.

This was prior to VR cameras being added to the track. As you can see by nords 2020 I havent added them there so they just follow the normal trackside cameras.

 

I usually am enjoying and loving everything about the 2005 GT1 cars, but there is just one thing I wish you developers could fix with the Milano GT55:

The exterior sound is perfection on the car. While the interior sound is pretty good, I just wished it could sound more like this, so it has a bit bass sound like the Maserati MC12 GT1:

I am also not sure about this, but maybe some more horsepower to the engine would be appriciated!

 

And that Rev-limiter sound!

 

Since forever ago, Practice and Qualifying tirewear is always like quadruple of what it will be like in the Race. Is this a bug ? Cannot be on purpose, right ? I hope this will get fixed one day because doing P and Q, you have no idea how long tires will actually last in the race itself until you are actually in the race already.

 

Please don't add them. Please remove them from other tracks or let us choose - though this is more of a feature request than a things to fix.

 

Another annoying thing, 6 years old mind you, is that when you replace tyres the brake pads/discs temps are also reset, even though repair is turned off.

I still have no clue why the hell Reiza decided it should work this way... just, why?

 

Yes that is annoying, I hadn't realised it was such an old bug (reported fairly recently).

 

Does it work like "repairing" brakes so that we can run with break ducts very small?
