Well, as long I know it’s always the same with colors: you can NOT simply use a color in your paint program and expect to be perfect correct ingame. From my side color-tuning is always needed, sadly the hard way: test ingame, edit in paint program, test ingame, ...
Same goes for saturation, but hey, in the end it’s all about how perfect you wanna go. But I would recommend to do so. ;)

same goes for black and white. Never use „full“ values like 0,0,0 and 255,255,255.
There was once a good guide abour working on liveries at pc2 forum, should be easy to find if you interest.

with bright colours you need to take care, because the game usually makes them more shiny and brighter. so, use a darker colour in your paint program and check how it looks in game. for white, i would advice a "dirty" colour, with a slight touch of grey in it.

I've run into some interesting tests regarding livery and material shading.
Also made a feature request here in this thread.

I've redone the ProMarkt CLK skin I've been working on, as I wasn't super satisfied with the first version. This one has turned out much better.

There's no way to paint helmets yet ? I really enjoy AMS 2, but without painted helmets on an open wheel car, it feels incomplete.

Hell, you are Right. Let’s push the alarm button and contact the devs!
They better stop immediately working on other stuff like fixing and fine-tuning existing stuff, preparing new content, fighting an all fronts .... and bring finally the custom helmets! Soooo „incomplete“
    —-ironical mode off——

Preview3.jpg Preview4.jpg Here's another car I've been working on. This is loosely modelled after the 1992 Diebels Alt Zakspeed Mercedes that competed in the DTM.

Jan Lammers Shadow Argentina 1979 (wip)

Does someone know how to partial shear a picture with Gimp.
Edit: I do, you can partial select an image and transform it using the Perspective Tool.
I managed to give the "G" on the cockpit a better orientation, (now it tapers a little to much)

Omega Stock Car Windscreen Help Needed
I've been able to figure out that I needed to add a Windscreen line to the stock_omega.xml file but I'm having difficulty understand what template to use.
I see in the new template file there is a file called omega_banner_diff.psd and I assume that's what is to be used for the windscreen component.
I have worked with it in GIMP and have cobbled together a solution
My first efforts had a red tinge to the screen but the I added a black mask to the visible layer and got a clear screen but I lose the banner at the top or the windscreen in cockpit view.

    I'd appreciate any assistance.

Hi all, a question, I have never painted skins before and don't intend to and I appreciate the effort that people go to to allow us to have access to real life skins.
My question is why do skins always seem to have jagged lines in them when one colours changes to another rather than it being a perfect line? Also why do some stickers look blurry? Is this because it is all done by hand or is it to have less of a hit on fps?
This also happens on official skins and in all Sims.
