AMS2 - User Livery Overrides

I'm not a dev so the spaghetti code doesn't affect so much, but for ****s and giggles here's just off the top of my head:
- Livery limits per class
- RealTrack tied to game progression (can't skip replays)
- Maximum 2min instant replay
- Replays duplicating when viewing them
- No freecam
- Weather slots fixed to 1 hour
- P2P multiplayer
- Can't join in progress races or transitions between stages
- FFB wheel axis not mapping unless doing black magic
- Infamous TC and ABS bug
- Remember when the old tyre model was interfering with the new one?
And probably much more.

These things aren't Reiza's fault by any margin and (most) are minor inconveniences - but they are nonetheless part of the tasty Bolognese and Carbonara that SMS loved to add to their engine.

 

Sorry for OT, but since this was mentioned...

I'd love for someone to mod the drone cam in photo mode somehow, so that it worked in replays and you could place a cam on the side of the track (or wherever you like) and watch the race like a spectator.

i have managed to get them to work on GTE porches but again the banner does not seem to work either

has anyone else experienced this issue

 

@Rob Thompson Just downloaded the Template for the Formula Ultimate Gen 2 in the OP but that still seems to be the old car model. Could you maybe update that one?

Another new Hotfix/Update is online for the F1 2024 Skinpack which brings a updated version of the McLaren Livery to honor Lando Norris his maiden win and some fixes from the last update!

Fantastic once again, just a thing I've been wondering for a while, would it be possible to add a version number every time you update the file? something like F1_2024_Skinpack_1.05 or something, makes it way easier to update the file through CM and to keep track of which version we currently have.

BTW, the matte paint doesn't work for the BMW M4 GT3.

 

McLaren gave me no choice - Another Update will be live by the weekend. It will bring the Senna Livery, some more improvements planned for the 2.0 release and the Updated Ferrari Livery with the HP sponsors.

Is anyone thinking about making the Senna livery for the Senna? Before anyone says anything, yes I probably should do it rather than asking. The issue is that I barely know how to draw non straight lines in paint.net which connect with each other. I’m also studying so can’t currently, but wonder if someone was planning on doing it

 

Tbh I thought about including it in the next Update but the Senna face on the back of the car is full of dots. This would be incredibly hard to recreate. But never say never.

 

That's what I thought too. I need to collect that one. I love collecting models and then having a look on them if I did the Liveries right!

Not sure what your workflow is like, but if you search for "halftone effect" you'll get tonnes of results for recreating that effect its pretty straightforward in PS
