Hey man, I've been trying to get yellow headlights working on my IMSA expansion pack on RD.

If don't mind could you send over or explain how to actually do this? I have only been able to sort the projection of yellow light on circuit and lenses as yellow on the Aston GTD as they included the files. Thanks in advanced

The texture override xml template describes what you need to add for yellow headlights for each car, it's like 7 additional lines for the xml tag of a livery. The issue is that you don't get the dds files mentioned in the xml directly.

I found a tool called PcarsTools, via command line you can extract the files in the pak files folder. There is a livery file of each car, you get most of the missing yellow light dds in it. One file you have to extract from the common textures pakfile.

Once put into the livery override folder for a car and correctly linked they work (I put them in a subfolder called lights, so all liveries of a car can access it easily)

Ah okay that does make sense since I was trying to use just the xml edits. I'll see if I can get hold of those files. Thanks for the explanation

I'm currently working on an IMSA 2025 Mod Collection, that properly implements Yellow Lights for all GTD liveries and perfectly blends into AMS2 with new original-like previewimages and descriptions. Here's a preview of the GT3 cars I've added so far (click on the image for a proper sized view)

Created the #96 Turner 2025 livery. Changes to the included 2024 livery aren't that big, but noticable for whose watching it.

This will be part of my IMSA 2025 pack, but once that goes live it with be released standalone too. I will try to add all IMSA teams with a 2025 livery. So right now it looks like to create the Heart of Racing, Magnus and Steur Liveries for the AM GT3. I will keep you updated

Are you making all liveries from scratch in your pack?

No, besides the yellow Turner livery I used community made mods, but I created the preview images and fixed yellowlight for all GTD liveries. But since there are not AM GT3 liveries I found so far I will try to recreate them. I will reach out to all creators when it's nailed down to be safe and offer the previews+yellow light fixes for their standalone versions. Would be quite pointless to spend hours building liveries that are already made by others in great detail

Here's the very, very early Magnus AM GT3, where I try to get the shapes right first :D (not quite sure why some parts get's replaced by carbon atm, will have to figure that out)

I tried doing this today but the height was difficult to reproduce. Do you have any advice how how to replicate the image easily?

Not sure if this is how it's meant to be but the Stockcar Cruz 24, wheel rim override color's the wheel nut as well, don't think it should be like that should it? o_O

    @Reiza
Would it be possible for a future update to add the front grille of the Z06 GT3.R to the livery overrides? It seems hard baked in to the stock liveries for the AWA Corvettes (they have the AWA logo there) but once you overwrite it you can't access it to recreate the AWA and DXDT front grille for the Corvette, so it always goes back to the black grille
    upload_2025-8-19_8-51-44.png

Also the AM GT3 livery overwrite seems bugged, the sideskirts, rearwing and sidemirrors always appear in carbon, no matter what I do.

Yeah height is a bit tricky. Besides trying to be on the heigth of the sidemirrors I can't really say anything more besides try to load up your AMS2 screen and a screenshot of the original preview image side by side. Pay attention to details that give away the right heigth, I usally look for how the left side of the rear spoiler (that's behind the car) lines up to the body

I’m currently working on the THOR GT3 liveries and I made the Valkyrie ones so you can use them if you want

Not mine, but what a stunning work. 2023 Le Mans LMGTE AM Pack

and whoever allocated so many slots to the BMW and Corvette deserves a little beating

That's amazing, thank you. Just saw it on overtake. Only thing missing are the driver names above the door ;)

If you want I can send you the addition of yellow headlights for the #27 and OEM-like preview images for your mod :)

Quick question: What do you use to export DDS files? My way seems to destroy the Alpha Channel layer

Now it's up to Reiza to fix getting colored mirrors and wings :D

Then I will just have to make the Steur GTD after I'm done with Magnus GTD and I've actually every single IMSA GT3 Team complete for the collection.

How did you align the checkered board portion between different panels on the car?

Download the .psd in the startpost. There is a layer of the 3d mesh of the car in there. While you create the livery always keep this layer visible for alignment. So when look at the car in the showroom it's good to see how to align lines across panels since you always have the mesh lines as reference.

I will send you a link later this evening :)

I'm aware of the templates and mesh layer. I guess what I struggle with is maneuvering the pattern to align properly on areas that the pattern warps like the front bumper.

Yeah, it's always some wiggling a pixel here and there before it fits nicely. I spend like 30 minutes aligning the VP Racing Sticker at the rear of the AM for the Magnus livery before realizing Reizas liveries already have the sticker there so I could use their position from the livery file
