Pratt Miller #3 and #4 are updated for 2026. Since getting all IMSA 2026 GTG3 liveries done will surely take a few months this time I will roll out the GT3 bundle in different phases, so I will see what will be ready for Daytona this weekend, release the first phase of the bundle and then fill in the missing liveries every few weeks until the roster is complete

Updating the DXDT to 2026 livery was quite faster than I expected

Apologies but does anyone know why (matte) Specular maps are not working in V1.69.3? No matter what i do the vehicles remain shiny in Showroom and on track - I tried someone else's map and that doesn't work either - All naming/sign posting correct in XML - Thanks in advance

Scrub my last message I believe I have succeeded in getting it to work - I'm using Affinity Photo 2 and the Channels system for Alpha is quirky to say the least!
    1. Create Livery
    2. Create a mask Layer (Black Alpha Channel)
    3. Create a Greyscale Mask
    4. Paint Mask (in Layers) Black
    5. Export to TGA file
    6. Import to Nvidia Texture Tools exporter
    7. Save as BC3 DTX5 DDS with Alpha and mipmap
    8. End result (Matte Body work) ss004447.jpg

Is it possible to make a symbol or design glow in the dark on a windshield banner or on the car itself? Similar to how it's implemented on a license plate.

I was going to ask the same question - I know how it works in Assetto Corsa but AMS2 - No idea !:( Here's what i found. I let you know if it works.

Yes, it is possible to make a symbol or custom logo glow like a number plate in Automobilista 2 (AMS2), but it requires using the User Livery Override system and editing emissive (light-emitting) textures.
Because AMS2 directly manages many official car textures inside packed files (BFFs), creating glowing effects on standard skins is difficult; creating custom overrides is the standard, effective method.
Here is how to achieve this:

    The Method: Using Emissive Textures
To make a symbol glow, you need to create a specialized texture file that tells the game engine which pixels should emit light.
    1. Edit the DDS File: Open your livery DDS file in software like Photoshop or GIMP.
    2. Create an Emissive Layer: You must create an Alpha layer or a separate map that defines only the logo or symbol you want to glow.
    3. Use Brightness/Colors: In the emissive map, white/bright colors indicate high glow, while black indicates no glow.
    4. Save as DXT5: Save the file with transparency support (DXT5) to ensure the glow overlays correctly on the body paint.

Alternative Method: Modifying Existing Glowing Elements
If the car you are using already has illuminated license plates or decals, you can hijack that effect:
    • Locate Existing Files: Find the "glow" and "diff" files in the car’s livery override folder.
    • Edit the Texture: Replace the content of those files with your custom logo/symbol while keeping the file names the same. The game will treat your new symbol as the old, glowing license plate.

    Key Requirements
    • Livery Overrides: You must place your edited files in Automobilista 2\Vehicles\Textures\CustomLiveries\Overrides\.
    • XML Configuration: A corresponding XML file must be edited to tell the game to load your custom textures.
    • Tools: Requires Photoshop (with DDS plugin), GIMP, or Paint.net.

EDIT: I tried it with the GT3 v2 corvette_z06_gt3r by adding the logos and Stars to the Door Numberplate - I did try them separate but it left the numberplate or the logos blank. I've included my XML and DDs/PSD Snapshot for you to look at - Hope that helps but if not. feel free to bin them.

Hi, that's exactly what I'd like to do... example: I have some F1 1993 helmet skins and I'd like to use them for a F1 1994 mod that doesn't have helmet skins. Can you explain how to do it?

Is it not possible to just use the filepath for the 93 helmets? At least with car textures it's possible (but not perfect) to apply a texture to a different car - using the filepath you would use in its own directory but add (for example) "..\formula_retro_v12\" in front. The double dot means back up to the higher directory and then you use the path from there.
I was playing around with this as I didn't want the formula retro gen 1 file to use these South African lotuses that only did one GP and I wanted the Tyrrell to be a V8 (as the team's history is so associated with the Cosworth engine).

The above works better with some liveries than others.

Look, I figured out how to do it. I copied the helmet and suits DDS files and then updated the paths using Notepad. It was a lot of work, but now I have the 1994 F1 complete with helmets and suits.[/QUOTE]

    Hi everyone,
I recently uploaded my 1980 BMW M1 Procar Championship skinpack for Automobilista 2, and while working on period-correct details I noticed something: in AMS2 the drivers use open-face helmets, but in real-life Procar reference photos they mostly seem to wear full-face helmets.

If someone from Reiza could chime in: what was the reason behind choosing open-face helmets for this content?

Apologies if this was brought up earlier in the thread (I'm pretty sure it was), but what should I do to override the liveries for the Ligier PS217 and Oreca 07 Generation 1?

Edit: Just to not show up empty handed... ss113849.jpg ss113833.jpg
