AMS2 - User Livery Overrides

What kind of skins though ? Aren't the 2019 skins realistic for that season ?

Don't know if this is the right thread for this but one thing that always bothered me was how much lighter the driver looked compared to the car even though the textures have the correct colors. So I tested around a bit and lowered the output color levels by 100. Probably needs some fine tuning but I think this already looks more realistic.

 

Random question but the Maserati GT2 Stradale template is missing from the list of templates. Would it be possible to get this added. I have plans to add the GTWC safety car and lead car liveries to it

 

I believe there is only one Maserati in AMS2, namely in the GT1 2005 class, are you referring to a mod car perhaps? you won't find templates for mod cars on this forum.

When using custom liveries for Formula Vee and Formula Vee Fin (Gen1), there are no drivers in car anymore. With the default skins, everything is fine.
Bug must have come with one of the latest updates, was not there in previous builds.
All other livery mods work as they should do.

 

Is it then advised to scale other colours to that range? For example Rosso Scuderia is described as 255,40,0 - if we scale it (each number divide by 255, multiply by 210 and add 20) we'd get 230, 53, 20. Am I on the right lines?

I know the answer is to trust my eyes, but I don't trust them 100% and old photos often have weird colours anyway.

From experimenting, the answer to this is "no not really", it's more that you don't want it to be too light or dark overall, but it's fine to plug in a zero or a 255 for some specific rgb number.

One further question. Are track-specific livery overrides possible in the same way as track specific AI overrides? From searching it seems like the answer is "no", but wanted to check.

 

No not possible.

 

To be honest a Livery Specific ovverride would be amazing to have, we have lot it since rFactor 1 and GTR2

Now it's only making the final touches and the driver suit for the Van Der Steur AM and the whole IMSA 2026 GT3 package is finally ready to drop.

 

Formula Edge M2 & M3:
Is it possible to add the ability to paint the inside of the rear wing like on the photo which is not paintable right now, because it is only carbon? Same with the Carbon part on the under part of the Sidepod.
Maybe we can get a 2nd override file for that so the standard UV isn´t to cluttered?

 

It is possible by creating a bat-file which loads specific liveries for certain tracks.
