AMS2 - User Livery Overrides

That's not possible since Reiza can't add content they don't have the license for. Players can create and share recreation of real liveries with real sponsors as they want, but when you sell a commercial product you can't.

The only thing on this topic I wish Reiza can look into is giving us a simple option to add more livery slots per car, so we can easily recreate full rosters of real leagues.

 

Who said it had to be licenced content?

 

Reiza needs to own a license for every piece of content they include in the game.

The fictional cars with fictional liveries were mostly created by Reiza employees. (A few were created by contractors.)

If Reiza were to include community-submitted liveries, they'd need to license the art from the artist who created it. And if any of the art wasn't owned by the artist (e.g. a real sponsor logo), Reiza would need to license the other art separately from the livery.

 

And the artist who created the livery would give permission. That's the whole point. If you didn't want it in the game you wouldn't enter it to be inserted into the game.
Clearly this means no real logos or real livery copies

Or you just go to Overtake.gg and look there for all the liveries that are available for AMS2. No big deal.

 

Yeah, I know. I avoid using mods in the game because every time I’ve installed one, it made the game unstable.

The post was moved from the feature request thread, where it was essentially a request for more livery slots and user liveries. However, a bunch of people began disagreeing over points I never made, and it ended up being moved here. Just ignore it.

 

Skinpacks are purely cosmetic they shouldnt make the game unstable as its officially supported

car mods and track mods will be causing the instability

I feel like an override like that wouldn't be difficult.

Just put in X amounts of blanks. But only show the required.

Then in the override put in the amount to cars you want.

Aka 4 Corvettes.

I've seen rcf files in PC 2. So I kinda have an idea of a starting point.

I just found out that there are meshes available for download in Automobilista 1 so you can paint them. That helps a lot when it comes to handling more complex meshes. Why isn't this available anymore for Automobilista 2?
