    Very nice! However may I suggest small correction. The car belongs to JJ Lehto.

    Hey guys, I am not the most technically gifted when it comes to file editing and the like. I have just downloaded and installed some gt3 custom skins and each come with a file with real driver names. The file itself all have the same name so if I instal one gt3 driver name file and go to do the next one it wants to override the first one. How do I bring all these names across for different skin packs?

    There is just one Custom AI.xml allowed ingame for each class of cars. So, in your folder called ..."userdata" in your installation folder, there can be only one GT3.xml file. Within this file, the AI's names and performance are stored. When you open the file with notepad, you can see what the modder has changed. To have the game to read the file, all drivers must have the proper car name which is used in game.
    It is written in the line
    <driver livery_name="xxx #xx">
    The name there must exactly match the one which is stored within the vehicles folder.

    Example: You have a livery for a GT3 Mercedes. It is stored in ... (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Automobilista 2\Vehicles\Textures\CustomLiveries\Overrides\mercedes_amg_gt3
    There, you find a file called "mercedes_amg_gt3.xml". Open this one and you see the name of the team.
    All kind of GT3 cars (Merc, McLaren, and so on) have their own file in the vehicles structure, but they share one file for custom AI. So, if you have a custom AI file for each car, you gotta make one out of them by copying/pasting all the entries of the cars into one file.

    But what is number 51 (or 52, 53 in other entries)? Like here:
    <LIVERY_OVERRIDE LIVERY="51" NAME="Patrick Racing #20" BASELIVERY="Default">

    Okay, cool, got it. I assume the order they go into that file doesn't matter? If there is an issue with one of the entries in the .xml file what will it do in-game?

    No big problem, that is the name for the place in game where the car livery and the preview are stored. It is not visible in game by default, but you can make it visible by doing the following:
    1. Open Steam
    2. Go to "Library" and "Start"
    3. Right click on "Automobilista 2" and chose "properties"
    4. There you see something like "start options" I guess (sry, do not have the english version installed).
    In the field underneath just type -showLiveryIDs

    Now you can close the Steam window and start your game. When going to menu, where you select your car, you now see the vehicle id number.

    You are right, the order does not matter. The car name must be the correct one, like in Marg's example above it would be Patrick Racing #20.
    And be sure that there is no syntax error. In this case, the game will not use the file.

    For my personal use, I always have the fastest driver at the top of the file, the slowest at the bottom. So, when I am not satisfied with driver's performance and the behaviour towards each others, it is easier for me to have my changes.

    Just BTW, could it be that driver seating position ingame is a bit to low?
    Even the helmet size in relation to car size makes me look twice. :D

    Last version 0.7.2 is greatest. I just remembered USA pack's promotional picture, which showed seemingly... Tony Kanaan's LCI livery, if I remember correctly, 1998 was the last year for Tasman Motorsports. And drove well in his debut season. Seems to be there is no special slot for him though...

    I thought you was a talented modder. But I was wrong, talent is the wrong word. You went some steps beyond to some kind of god mode!:)

    Surely Reiza will open two Honda slots for Gil and Tony. As well as a Mercedes slot for Helio (and JJ Lehto). Surely... ;)

    Yeah the helmet size for this retro helmet shape is definitely too small. It’s as if the helmet is the size that the driver’s head should be without the helmet.

    Looks like the lizard was there already at 98, as seen in the shot from Vancouver 98.
