Thanks a lot. Is there a separate dL for the rim colors. It’s not with the liveries. Thanks again

Download latest version, rim colours are part of the xml-files of the cars.

I knew it was my user error. I was putting the files in the ( current user data and vehicle file). I assumed you wanted it in there exactly. I did it right the first time in December but… I’m older by a few months now.

    Sorry for taking your time.

That's what the forum is for, even if we sometimes make the mistake ourselves.

I tried changing rim colors as decribed above for some GT4 cars. The car where I tried to specify a colored rim just displays as a plain Red paint. I'm assuming colored rims are only supported om specific cars. Is there a list of which cars support different colored rims?

it must be predefined in the xml
Wheels w/o the definition don't have it.
Afaik there is no list. Maybe someone parses the xmls and creates that list.
    BE THE FIRST ;)

    btw
what car did you try and how?
Changed to red is not enough info to help

    Hi,
Hope this is the right place for this question. I am currently working on my first skin for AMS2. Decided to have a go at recreating Manfred Winkelhocks 81 car from the 1979 BMW M1 Procar series. Managed to get pretty much everything sorted except for the area of the rear bumper highlighted in the first image which should be black and have Castrol and Bilstein logo's on it. AS you can see in the second image which is a snip from my skin template I have made the bumper black and placed the logos but it doesn't come through on the model. Any ideas?

You might paint on the wrong area. Should be on the marked part of the image below.

As far as I know there are the rims colors for the time being only for the BMW M1 Procar and the F-USA Gen1, Gen2 and Gen3!!!

Thanks Chris! That sounds right as I wrote my XML exactly as you did but was just greeted with a plain red livery in response. Perhaps they'll expand it to others. I'm working on the GT4s but it would certainly be most welcome on the GT3s.

Maybe they will expand it, but it will probably take a lot of work and time that they may not have at the moment.
With the Reynard from 1995 you can not yet select the rim colors only with the Lola but I think that comes with the next update.
Here the Team Green Players car from 1995 (WIP)

This "Player's" livery (until 1997) I like better than later ones...
Is there easy way to change liveries for 1995? There are no skin files as I see. Some of default liveries could be easily edited replacing some logos, because many livery layouts (stripes, bands) are close to reality...

There I would but still wait for the next update it could happen that a Liveries change from the Lola to Reynard because for example the Pennzoil Skin was on the Reynard and not on a Lola (Pennent Lola Mercedes in the game) I've been told that there is still some adjustment.

Here (Download-link) I have prepared the Lola Ford for the overrides folder, just move the cart_lola_t95_ford folder from the zip file to the overrides folder and you have the dds files of the 4 Reiza paint schemes that were modeled after the originals from Newman Haas, Patrick Racing and **** Simon Racing. I have already given them the right name and you only need to edit the dds files the templates you can find here on the first page.
