AMS2 - User Livery Overrides

Reading these days seems optional for most... I know I'm guilty of it from time to time with the bug reports thread...

Are they real life skins for this car?

 

More or less, yes.
I think only the Martini skin was not available on the Carrera RSR back in the days.

I managed to make these real quick but i will make at least 3 more before i make another number update, so as to not spam with updates too frequently.

 

Is it possible to limit the number of liveries in a race? For example a car has 12 or more available liveries but you only want the first 8 of those in the race. Could some XML accomplish that?

 

Seems to be it can work, I had XML with smaller number of liveries than slots, and with lesser number of opponents, AMS 2 ignored those extra liveries (at least in F-Vintage Gen2).

 

Does anybody known any news about skins for F1 Calssic Gen 3 and 4?

 

We will have to wait until a new updates where the driver and helmet bug is fixed

 

You need an AI file for the class...

Then you need to remove the liveries you do not want in the race from the AI file...

Then set the number of opponents to the number of cars you want on track minus your livery (so 7 in your example unless you are using a 9th livery) and only the cars you want should load...

 

I'm only seeing 5 or six livery slots for GT4 cars instead of the 12 they used to have.
Is that occuring to anyone else? If not, any ideas on why it might be occuring for me?

Depends on what you mean by news...

The skin packs that need touching up are largely ready, there's just a need to wait because of the driver bug making people take the overrides out...

 

Reiza should really try to make saveable custom classes an in-game thing.

Ideally, it could go something like this:
Select a Custom Grid.
Choose individual cars and livery slots, from any desired class.
Save Custom class.

Editing driver names and skills, could also be an option if desired.

Then have say, ten custom class slots to save into(if devs wanted to limit it, for some reason).
Saving in-game, would save to an external .xml file, so they can easily be shared within the community.

Someone posted in the Help and Support forum that there's a max of 40 liveries per class. Can someone else confirm that to be the case? That could explain why there are now a more limited number of livery slots per GT4 car. Does anyone have a GT4 with more than 6 available livery slots?
