AMS2 - User Livery Overrides

I don't really need a new 3d model I "just" need more slots for the Lola cars. And the option to cancel the Reynard cars.

when editing the reference files in that tool, you could definitely add additional liveries to one car.
I used that for league racing and just added, not exchanged, liveries.
So league users could use their league livery or a generic for online racing w/o fiddling around with exchanging their libraries

 

Oh man, it'll be a GOOD day, when the Formula Classic issues with custom skins are fixed.
I just ran a race with the latest Formula Retro Gen 3(F1 1983) - the custom skins, and driver helmets add SO much to the period feeling.

 

So whilst making a Peavey inspired livery this happened...

Copa Uno being the next class to get the Stock Car treatment. It will be 28 liveries from various eras mixed together.

 

This week the F1 2023 Skinpack will get a new Update!
It will feature Sponsor Updates, like on most Halos and also the Helmets will be Updated. Some Drivers already got their 2023 lid. Those who haven't, will at least run in their Color until the full Helmet Design is released!

 

Can I change my helmet design?

 

Yes you can change your Helmet Design. But making the Helmets for AMS2 is very difficult. Especially with the Indycar Helmets and the Modern Helmets. Liveries are so easy in comparision to Helmets. If you already have one you can also easily swap the files for that and edit it in the XML Files.

 

(For me) making helmet liveries is not that hard, the hard part is the indycar blender model doesn't correspondent with the one used in the game, The modern helmet doesn't fit the actual shape of modern helmets, and the new Formula Classic helmet doesn't have an interior (and have that Senna chin thingy air vent modeled , so If you want to make fantasy designs there is no problem but if you want to remake the actual helmet used in a certain season or race you are in trouble

 

Speaking of indycar, I saw on YT the 2023 indycars with superb liveries, a real work of enthusiasts and professionals. With this one and the VRC mod, I'm going to experiment with Mods (I recently switched to PC and I don't know how it works). Hoping Reiza makes things easier with their modding support.

 

Is the Indycar mod released?
