AMS2 - User Livery Overrides

Does anyone know if the next Racin USA DLC will feature Nascar-inspired content?
Cars, tracks, or both... Maybe the Charlotte Motor Speedway would be nice.

Imagine a day when @TomLehockySVK provides us with NASCAR liveries for NASCAR vehicles!

 

Yeah wouldn't that be the craziest of days . Also sometimes i wonder if Reiza had the idea of making Oval variants of the V8 Supercars and also Omega 1999 cars among others after i released my Nascar liveries for them, or if those were planned all along and my NR liveries released for them months before the oval content release was just a total coincidence .

 

I would hope to have Charlotte Motor Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway and also Homestead Miami. All three also have road courses, and Stock Cars and also classic IndyCar raced on the ovals so it would be a win-win for everyone.

 

I'm selecting Nissan GT-R GT3 skins for its available 7 slots, and I like some user created liveries plus a couple of original Reiza skins.

Is there a way I can select say 5 user created skins and 2 specific Reiza created liveries to fill the 7 available GT-R skin slots?

 

If you want to use only some of the custom liveries then you have to edit the XML file that comes with livery packs and delete the lines for the custom cars you do not want to use.

 

What car class is missing a livery pack ?
I want to do some fantasy livery stuff that will just look cool, no specific Nascar / F1 / whatever category, just something to spice things up.

EDIT: I've been told the Group C Corvette GTP doesn't have liveries. Testing stuff.

 

Please do a '70s-NASCAR theme pack for the Opala '79! Given the Opala's age, any NASCAR year(s) between 1968 and 1979 would fit.

 

Actually it is called Chrisi 2174 but now it doesn't matter.
My permission you have to upload the AMSCM version of the skins
maybe you also get the permission from mungopark to use the customized speedway skins as well.

To expand on above, I did the following to mix selected Reiza liveries with custom user made skins (at least for the GT3 class).

Reiza liveries are assigned a Livery Number and the skins are always displayed in numerical order. Using Nissan GT-R GT3 as an example, the first livery is 51, the second is 52 and so forth.

So choose the Reiza liveries you want to retain by noting the Reiza skin(s) livery number to be retained (e.g. say 52 and 54).

Then when using installing the new user-made skins, using the above example, ensure that the car's XML file has nothing in livery 52 and 54 (i.e. Nissan GT-R GT3 XML file should only list skins 51, 53, 55, 56 and 57).

Using above, Reiza will use its default liveries to fill spots 52 and 54 as they are not overridden by the XML file, and voila you get a mix of only the Reiza and Custom Skins that you want.

 

I love that GTP livery...

Do you mean Gen 3 Model 4? There are only 3 models in Gen 4. And if so, it's probably because they look identical (to me anyway) as one of the other models (Gen3 Model 1), so maybe the same shape.

Looked on RD for P1 liveries the other day and couldn't find any. Would be great to have some! Been driving these for the last week or so as the incoming update will change the tyres and I want to evaluate the improvements.

 

Yes, you're right. Model 4 should be the same template as Model 1. They're the same shape, it's just that one is a V8 and the other a V12
