I would never be able to go back to muddy 1080p. I've been using 4K for too long and used to the great picture quality it provides, especially the clear image it provides of the track in the distance, with very little aliasing and other artifacts. I can achieve stable 60fps at 4K and although higher framerates would even be better, 60 is adequate really. My 1080TI could do 70-90fps if I had a 144hz 4K monitor, which might be my next upgrade (before a new GPU, $deity knows when).

Yeah 60 is adequate but not great, I can notice instantly when I drop below 100, it feels bad. ACC is limited to about 85 fps and it's all a CPU limitation, I can go to 120% res scale, it looks pretty good all maxed out but that 85fps feels sluggish after playing AMS2 between 120-144. I will never go higher resolution until a gpu can do the higher res at 120 plus fps.
For years I've had people tell me fps trumps resolution and I never agreed, now I understand what they were on about and now agree, resolution is nice but fps is king for sure

TAA is going to be real nice for me. Despite the drawbacks (like potential ghosting), it will allow me to extend the service life of my RTX 3080 and its middling 10GB of VRAM. The GPU has no issues pushing 120Hz at 4K in the game currently, but adding MSAA to the mix at 4K just eats VRAM like crazy. I'll finally be able to handle the leaf edge and chain link fence shimmering problems that have bothered me for years in AMS 2. As I play in 4K, most of the complaints that people make about TAA being an unplayable blurry mess won't really apply to my use case (as TAA gets better and better as the input resolution rises).
