I posted this on Reddit, but I got downvoted, and the comments were basically like, “WTF are you talking about? AMS2 does have 3D trees!” Like, are you blind or something? Can’t you see that most of the tracks are filled with 2D trees that rotate toward the camera? Now, 2D trees can look good if they’re done right, GT7 uses them too—but I really hate how the default trees look in AMS2. They just look way too cartoonish to me. (I do like the winter trees, though) I know some tracks, like Mosport, have 3D trees, but why can’t we have them on all tracks? The trees are the biggest immersion killer for me in this game. So, is there any mod that replaces them with 3D trees.
Quite a few tracks got updated foliage over the past years, like Spielberg, Monza, Spa, Montreal or Adelaide just to name a few. In those cases most trees close to the track are 3D. As far as I can tell all completely new tracks released since Reiza started to improve foliage are like that as well. Mosport is the best looking track in the game in that regard imo, absolutely beautiful. But I do agree that there are some tracks where the 2D trees can be a bit distracting once you notice them. I just hope Reiza will continue to update the older tracks
